Was great for a few weeks but the quick lock feature failed
It was a great brace but after a few weeks the locking mechanism stopped working. I’m supposed to keep it locked at 0 degrees while walking and it just gave out on me one day. Luckily the other side was still locked or I would have fell over. The brace is now unusable.Update:I’m able to keep the one side locked if I slide the flex ion to 0 each time I stand up but I’ll had to keep sliding it if I want to adjust. The quick lock feature doesn’t work but the flexion slider keeps it going past the limit .

THE GOOD, The Bad, & the ugly...
The brace is simple to use not allot of strings or tabs or adjustments which is helpful considering my back injury caused my leg injury. I have to tighten the straps above my knee when I get up and then loosen then again when I sit or else it starts to cut off blood flow. You have to check the flexion/extension dials frequently as they change easily, the one on the outer side of my knee is difficult to see so I have to use a mirror or ask someone beside me. This also can make locking and unlocking it difficult because you maybe trying to lock your leg into a straight position but it's set for -10° you will be hyper-extending your knee and it may not physically look like you are, especially if you have allot of swelling or swelling easily & frequently in that area(s).I will say it has allowed me to be involved in my 3 young boys lives again while healing from a complicated and unusual vertical leg fracture complicated by a already long list of medical issues and I'm very very grateful for that....however considering a car accident started all of this, I've lost my job, don't qualify for Medicaid, non of my Dr.'s take Obama-Care, I'm forced to buy medical ins which is over $350 premiums a month and that's just for me (hubbys a vet, and my kids get CHIPS) I have yet to be awarded anything for the accident which has left me permanently disabled (yes I've filled for disability too...one denial down couple more still to go I'm sure, hopefully resulting in an approval though) anyway my $ is very precious I have kids to feed and alot of medical appts, meds devices etc I chose someone who's OFFICE STAFF said they would work with the attorney etc for the MVA then I when I went in for my first follow up I was told I had a balance of $617...... $612 of which was this brace then they told me they will not bill a 3rd party. I even changed Dr's within the group to see the one they told me would work with the attorney...So in short, the brace is pretty good it slides but if you need a true medical device knee brace is comfortable, adjustable, and easy enough to use. It can start to chaff a little of you can try a light compression knee or thigh high at night or under your clothes during the day if possible to help relieve the itching. It can get to be a little exhausting messing with the brace so much but medically it made a big difference to me just make sure and ask about cost and double and triple check who they will bill get them to WRITE IT DOWN AND SIGN IT [that way is in there handwriting too, a time and date never hurts either ;) ]
