This journal is the perfect guide for anyone coping for loss
This journal is the perfect guide for anyone coping for loss. I purchased this book for a client of mine whose mom recently passed. I was unsure what to say, what to do and what was appropriate in such a terrible situation. I knew I wanted to do something though, it's too big of a loss not to do anything at all. This jouranl is an incredibly powerful way to help celebrate your loved ones life and to really keep their spirit close in your heart. Too often days go by and we forget the little, small, day-to-day things that really make the people we love who they are. This book is an incredible way to remember and honor our loved ones. The guidance of the inspirational prompts makes writing about them so easy! For those of us who get writers block, this book genuinly helps you navigate through the many feelings you have during loss. This book is about your past, present and future, it's a way to preserve those memories that we don't want to loose. It's something you can pass on to kids and family members, it's the perfect way to help yourself or loved one through a grieving process. This book has been a gift sent f rom an angel. I don't want to recommend a book to deal with grief or death to anyone, but if you are in that situation or someone you loved is, I highly recommend this journal. It really is a wonderful way to chronicle ones experience in this thing called life.

and this book has the overall approach of "be sad that it's over
What I think is so incredibly important about this book is that it gives you permission to grieve. Our country allows us a prescribed way of grieving-- a funeral, a week off work, support from friends and family-- but doesn't talk about how to accept your own feelings and take the time you need to ride out the waves of grief. The experience of loss is an extraordinarily complicated one, and this book has the overall approach of "be sad that it's over, but also, when you're ready, be glad that it happened." It's a gentle and caring work, and most of it has made me cry (I'm using it to talk about my grandfather who passed) but I loved having a space to grieve. It should be noticed that this book has a religious bent, but it's a bit flexible. No Jesus mentions, for example. But my own personal approach to religion, while mostly atheistic, allows me to appreciate the spiritual richness of the book without worrying as much about what heaven and angels are. The spacing of the lines and the number of lines I found to be just right for what I needed to say. I think this is a beautiful gift to yourself or anyone you care for who has lost someone.

I thought this would be a good journal to help my grandmother through the recent loss of her nephew who died of ALS. It progressed fast and I don't know if she has really come to terms with the loss. “Forver in my Heart” is filled with pages to cherish and spark memories. One of my favorite prompts is about reading a loved ones favorite book and writing the first sentence you randomly flip to. It seems like great introduction to remembering what kind of person your loved one is.Going further into the journal, author Tanya Richardson goes past what you remember about your loved one and into what you learned from your loved one. Favorite prompt from this section is how the passing of the loved one has inspired positive life changes for the journal writer.I love that the journal doesn’t focus just on the past, but on a future filled with growth and postivity. The end of the journal gives space to write the people who have helped journal writer in their journey to find peace. This, with space given for scrapbooking, helps send the journal writer into the right space to heal.

This is a great book for anyone going through the grieving of a loved one. When we lose someone, we think about them all the time. Our grief may diminish, but the memories will always be in our heart and mind. This book is a way to dedicate the memories you have. This book may help someone get through the grieving process. As you go through each step, answering and journaling questions asked will help you work through your feelings. The author encourages you to use this book in your own way. Realize your Emotions
'Forever in my Heart' is a warm and helpful journal which will appeal to anyone who is trying to get over the loss of a loved one. The book is nicely made, and the layout is fantastic. The questions, which are well thought-out and unique, are all followed by ample space to write a response, and the end of each section contains blank pages to scrapbook in. One aspect of this book I really appreciate is that it is divided into sections which group together similar questions. Seeing as how this is not a book to read from beginning to end this glossary allowed me to quickly find the right questions depending on my mood. Overall, a beautiful healing tool.

Thoughtful and Inspirational!
I have a very close friend and her mother is older and going through some serious medical problems. I have given this book to her as her mother is going into hospice care. I thought it might be a good way to share some moments with her and write them down. This journal is a perfect way for celebrating her life. It will also be a great journal to write down your feeling when you are grieving. The questions are thoughtful and inspirational. It gives you enough room to write your responses and the scrapbook after each chapter to add your photos or memorabilia is wonderful.

This grief journal is beautiful. It begins with an introduction describing how to use this book, and then begins into a journal. The journal has places to describe movies, books, or songs that remind you of your loved one. This I thought was especially thoughtful- there are so many of these pieces of life that remind me of my loved ones, and putting it in a journal helps get the feelings out. There are also many places to write down memories, or things you wished you could say to them. There are even some scrapbook pages included to put memories or photos. I encourage this book for anyone going through a loss.

Best purchase
I lost my uncle in December and have been struggling to cope. I came across this journal and from the reviews I decided to order it, I didn’t have any expectations but when I received it today and started going through it. I realised how perfect it is and exactly what I need. I will be purchasing another for my Mom as I know she’s going to love this.

Possibly used item
My book had writing in the front cover. :( Book was a nice gift for a family member, but I was disappointed to find writing already in it.
