Would be selling for $1,000 if these were North American skates
I was in the market for some upper mid grade skates. A pair of Bauers or CCM skates in that range would cost probably $450 to $550. For the record, I have been playing hockey for about 25 years and have used Bauer, Micron, and Mission skates in the past.I came across the botas 571 skates by chance. I saw a review online of an older model where the person highly endorsed the skates. I figured since they were on Prime, I can return them if I was not happy.I measured my feet as per the instructions on the skate guru website. The skates fit very well, though I did have to put a new foot bed for my flat feet. I baked them and they say even better.I had two playoff games left in the season when I got the skates. I brought my old pair as a backup in case there was an issue, but these felt extremely comfortable on the ice the first time out.The only issue I had was I got a blister on the outside of my ankle final game, which was the championship game that we won... yippie! Anybody that knows about breaking in new skates understands that this is extremely common.Overall, these are really good skates when compared to top of the line North American brands. Basically, I got a pair of thousand-dollar skates for $300. Sweet!

A lot of reviewers just crack me up!
The skate is great. It is light composite boot, a quality steel blade. What cracks me up is that a lot reviewers here first see it necessary to give you their "hockey resume" to presumably give their review more credibility. I actually think that telling us how many years they played, and how their playoff season ended is just to make themselves somehow feel good, because many people are likely to read about it (I don't care). Just give us a review if you're going to review a product; you're not on some ego trip! You know I am Czech and I actually know Jaromir Jagr so my review is relevant! LMFAO!

Looks and feels like a great boot
Hard to review since corona shut down our rink right as I got the skates. Here is what I can say so far.....Sizing... I have worn size 9 skates for over 20 years now. The size chart says I should get a 10. They fit fine when I put them on but we’re pretty loose once I laced them up as the laces drew my foot down into the boot. I returned with no issues and got a 9. Snug when I put my foot in but felt perfect once I laced them up. The boot feels a little heavier than most boots out there now but it’s not concerning. They look and feel like they are built well and am excited to start using them once the rink opens back up.

great skate
I use to play hockey in my youth at a pretty high level and just got back into playing this year, I had some older skates that I was using for the past couple months but decided I would be playing next year for sure so I'll buy some new skates to finish out this season. I played last night on them and was super happy with them, very comfortable and the boot locks your foot in very nicely and they feel great on the ice. For the price I don't think these skates can be beat and for double the price they might start to see some competition. Highly recommend.

Skate Guru Came Through
I bought a pair of Botas 571s a few years ago and love them. I bought another pair for a son but received a different model (471s?) so I communicated with Skate Guru and they were able to find me the correct size 571s. My son, who is a good hockey player unlike his father, thinks the new skates are great. He’s been wearing them for a few games now and is impressed. I appreciate Skate Guru going the extra mile.

Big and tall approved
After he worn them for an ice hockey game, he said they felt great! He is a big man, 400 lbs. He said they changed his whole game is hockey. I would recommend these skates, you will not be disappointed. The price is also just right.

Awesome quality. Well engineered
I operate a hockey training and power skating school. Playmakers Edge Hockey. Played professional hockey and these skates are one of the best I have ever used . I sharpened them and went out for a skate and with in three strides I felt at home on them. Very impressed.

Narrow toe
These seem to be a solid skate, but the toe area is very narrow. Pinched my feet so bad I couldn’t go very long without having to get them off! If you have 4 inch wide toes, perfect, but if you’re like most people, these will pinch bad. I was able to return them no problem, so that was good.
