Off color but exactly what I needed
My switch box was too shallow to fit a dimmer. Extending it with this allowed me to fit the dimmer, and covering it with a little plaster hid it well

Works, but it is not Grey/Black, it is light Grey.
The product works just fine other than you have to buy the screws for it. That said, if you have a visible installation know it is a light grey, not a grey/black.

PERFECT FIT but seriously NO screws?
I was adding Board and Batten to a room and unfortunately some of the outlets got in the way of the pattern so I had to get creative, see pics. Anyway I had to find a solution to extend the outlets from the wall by about 3/4 inch the width of the wood. I went to the box stores and could not find a solution that worked. Then I found these. I didn't need 5 but I am keeping the leftovers for future work:). These worked perfectly. these don't come with screws so you will need to get those. the ones you will remove from the outlet aren't going to reach so I got 2 inch #6-32 screws, I would recommend 1 1/2 screws but the 2 (cheaper) ones worked. Either will reach and snugly fit the outlet.these are perfect so don't waste your time finding other solutions for some reason the box stores don't seem to have these. These are the correct ones and it also protects and encloses the contacts perfectly.A Con: and its a big one! It didn't come with the screws !? yup no screws. They dont include screws for a fact because my bag was sealed and no screws to be found in that bag. You have to know what standard electrical outlet size screw you need and it leaves it up to you. Use the wrong screws and you will damage the outlet for ever. This is the bad and downside of this purchase. I had stop what I was doing and go get the right screws UGH! Charge an extra buck and save buyers aggravation and by the way had to purchase 100 screws cause that's the only size box I could get grrr! Face palm here. This really made me wonder why would a company or seller intentionally leave out screws which will be required due to the extended length.Otherwise these are great.

Successfully extended outlet boxes for backsplash
These did a great job extending the outlet boxes in our kitchen to fit beyond the new stone backsplash we installed.

Perfect for Thicker Soundproofed Walls
Soundproofed a wall for home theatre and insulation purposes, causing it to be about 3/4” thick. These worked perfectly in extending the boxes. I prefer the plastic to the metal boxes in my house. Because metal boxes electrify and yeah, I got shocked a few times. I prefer plastic, especially for extending. Gives me peace of mind. Because it can’t electrify. The full box size is best for getting a tight, sealed fit. The little screw extenders just can’t do that.

Excellent fit extenders
Some of my outlets went inside kitchen cabinets and due to back cabinet panelling I had a 3/4 inch gap between the inside of a cabinet and the outlet. These outlet extenders worked perfectly! Now I just need to use an oversized outlet cover and I’ll be set. So happy I got those. They made it a breeze making outlets flush and secured up to code!

does not include screws
These extenders are inexpensive, but lack the extra long screws needed to install. Save yourself some time and aggravation and spend a couple more dollars for a product that includes hardware.

Perfect for extending electrical box
This was exactly what I needed to extend 2 electrical boxes to accommodate the addition of fluting on a wall panel. The electrician installed the boxes flush with the backing but I needed to extend it out to fit flush over top wooden slats that I added to the front.I painted the extensions with flat black spray paint in case any part was visible. and it worked out perfectly.Only thing I had to do was use a Dremel to enlarge the opening slightly to be able to fit a GFCI receptical, a slightly larger opening would be helpful.

These are not metal as described
The product description indicates that the extenders are made of metal. They are plastic.

Perfect for cleanly extending a box for plugs
These are the perfect depth to extend outlets. I’ve added some 3D wallboards and needed to safely bring the sockets out. They’re paintable too so the grey was not an issue. One thing that would be better is to supply the screws for the extension. I had to find and purchase those separately.
