A Household Staple
I love the flavor of this sugar. It's less processed than other sugars, doesn't have anything added to make it look brown, and is vegan-friendly. The cost of the product is reasonable, although slightly higher than regular sugar. I don't mind too much, because now I actually think about how much sugar I'm using. Panela has extra nutrients in it because it hasn't been quite as processed. I'm not saying it's a health food, but if I'm going to eat something bad for myself, I might as well eat something less horrible. Treat yo'self, right?

Tastes great, but some hard chunks and QC issues
The taste of this panela is great in my baked goods. Normally, I've used Sucanat and this product is similar except that it is slightly lighter in color. Quality control may be an issue. One of my 3 packages had moisture and large chunks of hardened moist sugar. Amazon ended up refunding me for the entire purchase since this item is non-refundable. The other 2 packages had small hard chunks, as well as more fine sugar. I sifted the large chunks out and then put the small chunks into the blender and they are now fine textured like the rest of the bag. I don't normally have to do this with Sucanat.

Tastes really good
I got introduced to this stuff by a Columbian friend. It tastes very good. Has a darker more molasses taste than regular cane sugar. One of the bags that I bought had a hole in it, but the rest have been okay.

Tasty and natural sugar
I like this sugar very much. It packs a strong and pure but pleasant molasses flavor. So good for sweetening tea or coffee and for topping my breakfast oatmeal. The fact that it is unrefined and natural make it even more desirable as a perfect condiment. This panela is similar to piloncillo which is sollid (cone-shaped), but it is easier to use since it's already in granular form. Excellent buy - Prime and add-on item! I will most definitely order this product again.

Love it!
I have been very please with this evaporated sugar cane. I was skeptical about the taste, but it is great in coffee and everything else. I don't use regular sugar at all.The shipping was really fast and it was well packaged. This is a great company and a great product.
