Good value, better than expected and would buy again
I’ve had this light a little over a month now and I’ve been using it every day, many times a day. And so far I’m very happy with it and would buy it again. For items like this that I expect to use often for a hobby or something else I enjoy, I like to do a lot of research and even try different items if I can. And within reason, am willing to spend more money if I think it is justified and will enhance my experience.I’ve tried to learn what terms like color temperature, CRI, Lumen, LUX, etc refer to and what I prefer and when. So in this quest, over the last couple of years I’ve bought well over 10 different LED lamps similar to this one and found most to be underwhelming. I found some that boast higher specs but seem inferior to me. Some I returned and others I found a less important use for them.During this research only this one, the Lightline 1250 by Lumiy , and two others ( Saicoo , TaoTronics ) stood out, each for different reasons as having exceeded my expectations and worth the price and I would buy them again if I needed to.The light produced by this lamp exceeded my expectations. I did side by side comparisons with 3 other similar purpose lamps, some which were more expensive and supposedly had better specs, and this one produced a much brighter and pleasant light for me. I was especially impressed with its color rendering which the documentation lists as over 75 CRI which didn’t seem all that high to me compared to some others. I did a side-by-side comparison with different colored items under the different lights and this one outperformed the others I tested with, especially for more accurate color.I like this lamp so much that I’m planning on buying the higher-end Lightblade which I was considering originally but thought I’d give this lamp a try first. I’m curious to see the color rendering on Lightblade which is rated at over 90 CRI.

Saves a lot of desk space, affordable price with quality
I have been using this product for over a month now. I am a grad student so I basically live in my desk. So far so good.- The light is bright enough and it doesn't blind me. You can also adjust the lighting.- The arms are more flexible than I had hoped for,- Its size is compact and saves noticeable amount of desk space. Together with the USB charger, saves even more space (unless you charge your phone on your laptop).- Affordable price. Seriously, this is one of the most affordable LED desk lights out there, and I think the product quality definitely matches its price.I knew about Diasonic brand (Korea) and I have gone through local reviews thoroughly before purchasing this product. I was a little worried about the complaints that some people had made about the gradient shades this lamp is known to create. However, I am happy to report that it isn't that noticeable unless you are constantly staring into the shade your hand creates. If there is any complaint, it would be its compact size. I like it because it's compact, but its small size means there is less feeling of sturdiness than the bigger counterparts. If I were you, I would not pull on the smartphone chord that is connected to the lamp, which I unfortunately did and caused my lamp to fall from my desk. To my relief, it survived the fall -- on the hardwood floor -- without a scratch, which is something I would not expect from any previous desk lamps I owned.Unless they have changed their product line, you will receive a Made in Korea product with Diasonic brand stamped on it. I think Lumiy is their US partner-distributor.

Simple lamp but Impressive brightness
Great simple lamp with small round base ( 5 inch diameter) . I was impressed with its brightness at its highest level -- so I purchased a 2nd one; this is much brighter than any of my existing lamps at home. This one in particular replaced an Ott-Lite lamp which I used to think was giving me adequate lighting until I set up this diasonic lamp next to it -- which is 10x or more brighter. There are about 4 levels of brightness; you keep your finger pressed on the base to switch brightness levels. I don't really see myself using lower brightness levels. Clearance from table to under the flexed arm of lamp = 15 3/4 inches. If used near laptops, this will work; however, for taller desktop monitors, the arm will be in the way of your vision. Charging port at back of base of lamp is 5 volts, 1.5 amp -- sufficient enough. LED bulb itself is 1/2 inch wide by 9 inches long. My understanding is that the long life LED bulb (20 - 25 years?) is non-replaceable; once it stops working, you throw away entire lamp. Is it worth $49.99? Yes, if the LED lamp actually lasts as long as claimed -- but ONLY TIME WILL TELL. This Diasonic lamp is made in Taiwan. Great lamp for dorms, detailed craftwork, and studying.Correction: Lamp is made in Korea. Not Taiwan. But still better quality I think than a China made lamp.

The Best Bright White Lamp I've Found
I liked it so much that I bought a second one. I just wish other colors were available for the same low price as the arctic white. That said, this is an outstanding light that is VERY bright and disperses evenly across any working surface. I am an artist and this is a lot better than buying those big, bulky incandescent lamps and having to buy new bulbs all the time. It is a space saver in that sense and it can fold every which way for storage or if you just need a different angle.Pay the extra bucks and get the version with the dimmer button, which allows you to set five different levels of light, from very low to super bright.July 1, 2016 Update: I now own four of these, all in the color of white. They still shine as bright as when I bought them. But only time will tell, and I'll update on the performance status of these lamps as time marches on.August 8, 2016 Update: I bought a fifth one. These lamps are the best for the price, by a long shot. They provide more than adequate lighting for camera work, and are also great for reading under and rendering artwork. But Lumiy, why only the color white at $50? While I really like these lamps, no way I'd ever pay more than $50 for any one of them. Time to get real.
