Good for storing what?
This is the exact same box as their "premier planter", but with a lid added. While I rated the planter I also purchased 5 stars, I am downgrading the storage bench because the lid is not even remotely water-tight. So I'm wondering just what I could "store" in this box that won't get ruined by water. 100% plastic tools and water-tight containers of plant food? On the bright side, the lid can be removed and you'll end up with the 5-star premium planter instead of a leaky storage box!

The quality of this bench is quite poor. The wood screws that attach the top to the bench were completely torn out of the wood. The corner pieces do not meet correctly and many pieces have to be rehammered together. I would have returned it except that I bought it for my 94 year old mother and I don't want to upset her (and it is very heavy to return!)

A pretty addition to the front porch
I stained and varnished this with spar varnish. It is a soft and porous wood so it will take a couple of years to get a hard finish but I love the look and it is great to have storage for garden tools and bird food.
