CRAFTSMAN V20 WEEDWACKER String Trimmer & Edger, Cordless (CMCST900D1)

My husband likes this for its light weight and the fact that it is battery operated. No need to drag a long cord behind you!

I had a lot of trimming and edging to do and some of the undergrowth had become very tall and thick. The automatic feed worked perfectly and the trimmer is lighter than my old trimmer. The low setting went through the regular grass with ease. The high setting cut through the thicker growth very easily and quickly. I highly recommend this product.

First, I own other Craftsman v20 products. On hand I already had 2 * CMCB2011 1.5Ah 30Wh batteries, a CMCB204 4.0Ah 80Wh battery and a CMCB100 1.25A Output charger.The weedwacker worked great for me giving no trouble with excess line feeding. I would have liked if the arm adjustment also included rotation around the body of the weedwacker but that lack of adjustment on that angle is visible in the pictures (it does have an up/down relative to body adjust).Final recommendation would be, buy the tool without the battery/charger. Get a 4.0Ah or better battery and one of the better chargers.The included CMCB1104 charger has a max output of 0.4A which performs about on par taking 3 times as long as my other charger to charge batteries. Such a slow charging rate is not right for this kind of application but performs as expected given its rating.The included CMCB202 performs subpar running & charging to within 1 minute of the time of both CMCB2011 which are supposed to have 25% less power. Without any empirical measurement beyond running time and charging time I would say the CMCB202 received was seems to be nothing more than a rebadged CMCB2011.

The trimmer is as described. Very easy to use and light weight. I am very happy with the battery life. I could do all the trimming in my yard without the battery dying.

First, The spools from my worn-out B&D fit this. Big plus, then the .65 recommended wire I had bought a 1000 ft spool shortly before the B&D died. another big plus. The included battery is only 2 amps so it did not last as long as I expected, I had bought earlier 2 6 amp generic batteries for a different tool, And in anticipation an adaptor to work with this. The setup worked very well, Being extremely very lightweight I was concerned it would not have the kick I wanted. However I used it on my electrified garden fence that's about 200 ft X 60ft ish without fail, I used less than 1 spool, And I did use my generic batteries but was able to finish the entire electrified garden fence, I cut a swath about 2ft wide to clear badly weeded under the electric fence. and the biggest plus is no more power cords twisting and getting caught on everything. This was a very good purchase and I am well pleased...

This weed wacker is light and easy to use. Does a good job wacking away the weeds and edging the lawn.

A good light machine. It won't cut down little trees but it takes care of the weeds and grass in hard to reach places. The original battery life is about 20 to 30 minutes. I bought two of the extra long lasting batteries for twice the cutting time per battery. I like it for what I bought it for. I'm not cutting my entire 2 acre yard with it, just in those areas between and around shrubs and up against walls, fences and house. I'm 77 and really enjoy the light weight and relative power of this piece of equipment.

The trimmer is awesome. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. Unfortunately, it comes with the 2-amp battery, which isn't enough for it. I put the 4-amp battery that came with my Craftsman circular saw on it, and it worked like a champ. Plenty of power and am able to get a lot of work done before needing a recharge.

Works awesome forbthe price, the only thing is the battery that comes with it only last 25-30 minutes, ordered off brand 5 amp and it’s perfect
