love these bibles!
I own two premium pocket bibles. One is the Nelson Signature Series and the other is a Cambridge Goatskin leather bible. I've read some bad reviews on these two and they are simply NOT true at all. The Nelson I've had for years and it's taken fairly heavy use and even some abuse at the hands of toddlers. Absolutely no problems. It's as strong and as good looking now as when it was new. Both these bibles are SMYTH SEWN. I have the signature in hand now and I'm looking at the threads running through the pages. I can't believe someone has the nerve to actually lie about a bible! I also own a Thompson Chain Reference Bible that has had major use and abuse for close to 20 years now and the binding is still holding together even though the crummy bonded leather has fallen apart. I have seen complaints on the type size. The Nelson is 7.5 and the Cambridge is 6.75. The resulting bible size difference is significant. The Cambridge is small enough to fit in my pocket where the signature fits into my wifes purse easily. If you need large print then a pocket bible is not for you so you shouldn't get one then trash the reviews because you can't see it. It's inherent in the whole pocket bible thing. Little. The red lettering is red in the Nelson and more maroon in the Cambridge. The maroon is easier to see but they're neither one hard to see. I also saw a complaint about paper quality. That's really insane. Only that nutty old librarian that can tell you where a book was printed by the smell could really tell a difference. What I'm saying is that if you want a pocket bible then these two are most assuredly the choices for you. Do you prefer a bit bigger and super soft tan calfskin leather or the classic black goatskin that'll fit in your pocket? Ignore the Pitt Minion gripes too. I mean who notices the silly reference boxes anyways. Down the side on the bottom or down the middle. Who cares?! They're virtually useless in any of these bibles anyways. Buy a cheap novice reference book and you'll be surprised with the amount of stuff not in the bible reference section. Even the illustrious Thompson Chain Reference is pitifully lacking. BUY ONE OF THESE, STUFF IT IN YOUR POCKET OR PURSE AND READ IT EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. REMEMBER PSALMS 1:2, "IN HIS LAW HE MEDITATES DAY AND NIGHT." THAT'S THE POINT!! NOT IF MY WEE BIBLE HAS GLUE IN THE BINDING. OH FORBID I MIGHT READ THE THING THEN!! GOD BLESS EVERY ONE OF YOU THAT WOULD EVEN LOOK FOR A BIBLE!! THE WORLD NEEDS A LOT MORE OF YOU FOLKS!

Perfect
I am perfectly happy with this purchase. It’s a very nice little but not to little Bible. I’m trying to stay away from things made in China and I’ve noticed that a lot of bibles for sale today are printed and made in China. One thing to take as an observation is this, the Bible is pretty much banned in China. This Bible however is printed and bound in the Netherlands by Royal Jongbloed who prints and binds some of the most top tier bibles ever made. This one ticks off all the boxes. The print is crisp and the paper doesn’t bleed through which causes “ghosting”. This is a magnificent bible that is bound in goatskin, goatskin is extremely tough and resilient. Goatskin was used in the making of WW2 pilots jackets and most surviving today because of using goatskin. I would highly recommend this bible. Thanks

Updated Review
Initially, I was pretty annoyed that this was not an earlier edition of the NKJV Pitt Minion, but I sat with the purchase for a few days before finally pulling this bible out of the box. I’m so glad I got over my silly frustrations, This is a beautiful bible! The goatskin is supple on first touch and the pages are beautiful. The text is on the smaller size, yet somehow does not feel small. Wonderful reading experience. And for this price, honestly it’s a steal. Highly recommend.

My wife loves it
She said the text isn't hard to read and it's compact so she can take it with her. She said the Bible stays open when she holds it with one hand, which she likes.

The best small NJKV available
I recently had the opportunity to choose between this Bible and the Nelson UltraSlim Signature Series NKJV. Both feature genuine brown leather covers and sewn bindings. That's where the similarities end, however, and I chose this Pitt Minion in a heartbeat. The cover is not exactly what I was expecting. It is a bit stiff and shiny at first, not entirely unlike the "bonded leather" of other Bibles. It is genuine goatskin, however, and in just a few days it began to soften and conform to my hands. The lining material is very nice, and the craftsmanship all around is remarkable. The sewn binding is wonderful for a Bible of this size. Small Bibles tend to clam up awkwardly, but after a few days of use this one will gladly lay open on a desk ... anywhere from the Genesis to the concordance! The pages are printed on excellent paper that is remarkably opaque for its weight. The paper is a nice golden off-white color, and the art gilding (gold over red) on the edges adds a unique visual touch that goes well with the brown and paper hues. The remaining details are all well done including the concordance, maps, and dual place marker ribbons. Without going on for hours, I can say this is the nicest small Bible I have ever owned. I would deduct a fraction of a point for the initial stiffness of the cover, but since Amazon operates on whole star ratings it gets a 5/5.

Compact bible perfection
Pitt minion is hands down the best compact bible on the market. The goatskin is a little stiff when u first get it but I promise you it breaks in so nice after a bit of use. It will become softer then the calf split one with time and it will last a lot longer easily last a life time. The font is small but not as small as I expected it's very easy to read because of the font style and the paper and ink the font is so crisp it looks like it was done with a laser it jumps off the pages so very easy to read it looks more like a 7.5 font instead of 6.75 because of how well done it is. Art gilding is beautiful and for the price there doing it on amazon for it's a steal. This bible fits in the hand like a glove and it opens flat in your hand perfectly. Pitt minion is hands down my favorite bible.
