Great product, grips hairs well
I didn't have high hopes for this tweezer due to some of the previous reviews, but they do work great.* I was able to pluck my eyebrows so easily. The tweezers gripped the hairs and because the tip is so sharp, I was able to be exact and pluck hairs one at a time.* Tweezers are made really well. It is steel painted in black. Feels made well, I can see that it will last for a long time.* From end to end, the tweezers are a little over 4.5 inches.* The tip has a cover so that the end doesn't get blunt or caught on something (because the tip is pretty sharp).* Easy to hold while in use.* I can imagine this would be good to use to get splinters out because of the sharp tip. I have two boys, so I will get my share of uses for this tweezer for splinters.I was able to purchase this with a discount, but I honestly love this tweezer. I usually use another expensive tweezer (that I don't want to name), but this works just as well, for so much less.

I guess I got lucky.
I bought this on September 2015 because it had great reviews back then and had five stars. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones who received a pair of tweezers that actually works. I still use it today and I find that it works effectively for me. I use it on my face to tweeze my eyebrows and some unwanted hair on my upper lip. It is very precise. I'm able to pull out hair in one try. It has a very sharp tip, so I always make sure to put the rubber cap back on the tip in case it falls. Now that I see a lot of critical reviews, I am unsure if I want to buy this product again.

A complete FAIL for me
These tweezers did not work at all for me! They wouldn't grab onto to the "small & ingrown hairs," and they broke off any longer hairs I attempted to pluck. I was unable to try them on a splinter, though, so maybe they'd work for that. I purchased these to use as a backup to my Tweezerman tweezers, which I sent in for their free lifetime sharpening service, but quickly discovered that Tweezerman tweezers are far superior! However, they're also significantly more expensive. In this case, you get what you pay for (but I've also had really cheap tweezers that worked better than these Tweezty ones on normal-length hairs). I'm kind of obsessive about my brows and stray facial hairs, so the investment is worth the expense for me personally. Thankfully Amazon has a great return policy, so sending these back for a refund was a painless process.

Works great but use a firm grip
I actually love these tweezers and I've ordered about 5 of them. Why five? Because i'm clumsy, these are sharp, they get hair under the skin (which is a godsend for my poor husband and his hair stuck under skin). But I must say through no fault of the product... dropping these is a death sentence. The end of these are very thin out of necessity to work the way they need to and you can bend the tip. If you like these i'd honestly order 2 at a time and keep a back up pair in case you bend the tip on one pair. They have solved so many issues with blemishes, ingrown hairs, and splinters I'm a customer for life. If only I had a surgeon's hands so one would last me longer than a few months...

Almost surgical
These are a high quality stainless steel extra sharp well made tweezers. I am amzed with the quality, and I am used to use surgical instruments. These are really well make, let me tell you. I use them not only for helping me remove hair that is under the skin that you cannot pull out with regular tweezers unless you make a whole on your skin, but I find them also useful to help me drain some abcesses that I have now and then, on my lips, due to some cosmetic filling the placed on them years ago. This tweezers are great to introduce in the fistulaes and pull out the strings of material.I received the tweezers free but there is no obligation to leave a good review, this is my honest thinking.

Went dull way too fast.
Initially I was very pleased with these tweezers. Unfortunately, after just 4 uses, the metal seems to have relaxed and the grip is just not there.I have stored them with their protective rubber tip and keep them in a cloth compartmentalized storage solution, where they are not able to bump around against anything. There is no reason for the points to have experienced any wear other than the few times they have been used to remove hair.If a tweezer cannot stand up to plucking less than a dozen hairs there needs to be some reassessment of the materials used to manufacture them.

Don't drop these guys.
At first, these worked great. All the positive reviews on their function also rang true with me. I was happily tweezing (hair) for one month until... I dropped them. This was the first time I dropped these. I knocked them over off of a 3 foot high shelf, and they fell onto laminate flooring. The result? The tips went from perfectly aligned to severely bent in opposite directions of each other (huh?). I always store my tweezers with their cover on (to help prevent misalignment), so I was surprised to see the cover provided by the manufacturer didn't safeguard these tweezers. Or perhaps it did, and the result would've been worse had I removed the cover (like I assume most people do). Needless to say, the tweezers no longer grab hair. I tried hammering the tips back into alignment (like some confused blacksmith), and this also didn't work. Therefore, I am rating this product with 2 stars. While these tweezers worked well the 4-5 times I used them, the degree to which these tweezers became mangled from their first and ONLY drop (even with the manufacturer's protective cover on) makes this product a poor choice for any consumer that lives in the presence of gravity.Summary: If you NEVER drop your tweezers, these are great (at least for one month of infrequent use). But all bets are off if you drop these suckers just once.(I can't speak for their longevity drop-free, as I only had these for one month before their fateful day.)
