Clearly not made for MacBook Air model A1466
This is pretty unfortunate. The reviews seemed positive, so I went ahead and spent almost $50 on this. I'll be returning it as it is defective, not as described, and just doesn't work as intended.-It arrived with a significant bend about 1/3 of the way in from the righthand side, so it doesn't lay completely flat against the top of the laptop screen.-Since the A1466 model has a metal bezel around the entirety of the screen, it leaves over a 1" gap on both sides but adheres to the bottom of the screen via the silicone stickers included. The bottom of the screen is the clearest section when looking straight on, whereas the top of the screen is blurry due to the metal border around the top of the screen.-The camera slide is a cool feature, but it is backward. The sliding tab is on the silver side of the privacy screen, but the circular cutout for the green camera light is to the left of the slide. The light itself is to the right of the camera on the laptop. If you flip the privacy screen, you will be unable to utilize the slide function.-It doesn't appear to be very effective. From the side angles, you can still make out the screen very well.I've included images so you can see the bezel on this model of MacBook Air, the bend in the product, the backward orientation of the slide and/or circular opening for the green camera light, and the ability to view the screen with relative clarity from the sides. It works slightly better when I flip it around, but if this is the way it's supposed to be, the sliding tab has been installed backward on this particular screen. Even with my brightness down on the laptop, I can see the screen pretty clearly even when I'm looking from the side.I would *not* recommend this screen for anyone with a MacBook Air Model A1466, as the top of the privacy screen does not sit flush to the screen (and will always appear blurry), due to the construction of this model of MacBook Air. I'm sure it's not bad for the newer models that have the larger screen area (as opposed to the older models with a metal bezel).
