Does the job. 3.5 stars.
I bought this keyboard (Red color only version) primarily because of its dimensions. It's depth from front-to-back is short which is what I need for my tiny workspace. Other gaming keyboards were too large in depth which would make it hard to place the mouse in front and to the right of the keyboard or would interfere with my monitor. This would also cause neck pain -- the table I am using isn't at a good ergonomic height. :-(So I gave it 4 stars because it does the job while still operating as a gaming keyboard. I would have given it 3.5 stars if it were possible.PRO's- Perfect dimensions for my needs.- Good enough as a gaming keyboard, especially for the price.- Quiet keyboard for gaming. Never liked the loud clickity-clat sound of mechanical and "quiet" mechanical keyboards.- I like the LED on/off button.CON's- For typing, the action feels a bit gummy. It's good enough for programming and miscellaneous typing. No issues with my gaming. But for dictation and heavy writing, it's not as responsive as I would have liked. Not all the keys respond the same way. The Tab, Caps Lock, and '\' keys have slow response times which contributes to the gummy and sluggish feeling. The left Alt key is responsive but the right Alt key is gummy. Most of the letters are responsive.- The USB cord/cable is fairly short -- only 4.5 ft. It barely works with my setup but may be too short for others.

Decent gaming keyboard, but not so much for typing...
Just received this and based upon the reviews and the cost my rating may be a tad lower than what is deserved.Pros: Easy setup. Plugged into my windows 8 laptop and worked. Lights look good, and although there is no rheostat to dim or brighten the illumination, it is non the less well done.Cons: Tried typing in this and was very disappointed. One of the other reviews thought it reminded him/her of a mechanical keyboard. Yeah...not so much. This reminds me of my keyboard in an Acer laptop I had, and although I loved the value for the price of that laptop I DESPISED the mushy keyboard. If you are a touch typist. look elsewhere. For gaming, for the lights, and for casual use it's not a bad keyboard...and for the price it's decent. For a few dollars more though I believe you will find a much better solution.

Works just fine.Good buy.
Like it. It has a simple button to turn backlight on and off. Backlight works great. Space saving as it has no built-in wrist rest, etc. I have no issues typing on it as some have reported. Would be 5 stars EXCEPT the USB cord is about 12 inches shorter than other keyboards. In my particular case, it would not reach. I happened to have and old KB with a longer cord, so I swapped the cords (not for the faint of heart; surely voids your warranty). Good buy for the money, IMO.

This keyboard is a nice keyboard with little downsides in my opinion
This keyboard is a nice keyboard with little downsides in my opinion. The cord isn't braided but that's no big problem for me. The back lighting is excellent and can be seen easily even during the day.The design is smooth and nice with a durable feeling build. The keys don't press as well as i thought they would as they don't exactly feel like the register right away because there is no 'click'. However this makes the keyboard rather quiet too. Over all I'm glad i got this keyboard since i prefer the chiclet style keys.

Great price for a durable Mac keyboard
Got the $25 mono color keyboard. Not using it for gaming at all, instead am using it as a replacement for an old mac keyboard. After remapping the 'alt' key to be the mac 'command' key in System Preferences, everything works as expected. The keys on the keyboard do not require much effort but do have a nice feel on each keypress. There's a bit of travel to the keys, more so than with chiclet keyboards.I've used some of the cherry mx blue keyboards in the past, and this may not be up to the same quality, but I don't really care. This is for a computer that gets used everyday by multiple family members, and I expect the keyboard will last us many years.

"Normal" key layout on a well-made, backlit, quiet keyboard.
Working with it about 4 months now, this is a great keyboard for the price. Keys are quiet, so it is well suited to an office environment. Backlight, though not dimmable, seem just the right brightness for visibility with the room lights on without being too bright in the dark. It isn't "expensive feeling", but seems to be solidly manufactured.I bought it because it was the most reasonably priced backlit keyboard that didn't have some crazy, non-standard layout. Numeric keypad, arrow keys, home/del/end, backspace and Enter all in the "right" places for me. They only odd key placement is the Windows Start menu key, which is to the right of the spacebar.Happy with this purchase.

Spongy keys but otherwise good for the price
Almost 4 stars. The keys are spongy feeling which you will either not care about, or not like at all. The backlight has only ON and OFF as a setting but the on setting is a reasonable brightness that is not too bright. The size of the keyboard is the best part. It is almost full size in terms of keys but the over all footprint of the keyboard is smaller than most. Good for smaller desks. Good for the price if you dont mind the spongy keys.

Simple, well build and works flawlessly so far. Nice key layout (exactly like my old dearly departed Logitech).
I got this keyboard to replace an old Logitech G15 that I didn't use 1/2 of the features of.This is a nice, attractive, simple keyboard that has worked flawlessly for me so far. Key shape and layout are identical to my old Logitech Keys have the modern non-mechanical feel, but pleasant, good sized with a pleasant tiny concave curve to them. Back-light/LEDs on mine are just red but bright and easily turn off with a button.Overall exactly what I was looking for in a good simple keyboard for gaming (I'm not a macro guy/don't program a bunch of hot keys) and web browsing.
