Amazing
Our labradoodle had really really bad matted hair, even the groomer that used to come to my house don't want to come anymore because she took a long time doing his hair. So I ordered this machine since none of the expensive ones at pet smart had worked. But this machine (electric sheep shears) works amazing so smooth and fast no regrets on buying this. Recommended. Just be careful because some how one of the screws got loose for some reason.

Good, gets hot quick.
Got this for my Australian shepherd. First time it worked well, but did get very hot. Second time shut off on me, didnt get too hot first, but then it statted working agian. About to try it again

Maybe ok for fine wool, but not for thick
I think these shears would be ok for a large dog or sheep with fine wool. However, I have a Southdown Babydoll lamb, and they kept stopping and jamming in her wool. It was super frustrating. No amount of oil or adjusting would get them to work properly. I was able to shear her eventually, but she didn't look great, and it took forever. Not really impressed.

works great!!
only had one llama and couldnt get anyone out to shear her.In north Carolina it gets pretty hot in the summer. So we decided to try the shears. Actually worked fine. She looked a bit scraggly but she was nice and cool. thank you

Hot and loud but will cut
They are very loud and get extremely hot after a very short period of time. 2 starts because they do cut and managed to go through very matted fur but you can only go in 10 minute spurts.

Good, efficient, and performs like it should
Worked well. It was my first time shearing sheep and there was no limitation on the performance of the tool itself.. Tool worked as fast as my skill level allowed so nothing to fault. A total of two sheep to put it in perspective.

horrible product
these shears are horrible, i have bought a lot from Amazon and been satisfied with everything so decided to order these.used them only twice, they get extremely hot where you can not hold onto them within 5 mins . then come to find out they only have a 30 day return??? Very disappointing! VERY POOR QUALITY

Nice setup, may sound a little scary to beginners
Overall size is larger than expected, as well as weight. The case is nice for keeping parts together and in order. I'm not sure if it's supposed to include a manual, but we did not receive one. Luckily, my daughter learned how to adjust the dials in her class. She also knew to expect loudness. Apparently, they are all very loud, but this one is not too bad, according to her.
