First of all, I spent many hours looking for African Black Soap on Amazon and this was the first one I found that didn't have lots of negative reviews. Specifically reviews saying that the customers had found sticks, hairs, and (scariest) glass shards. I had bought ABS years ago and loved it, but couldn't remember the brand I had had. This was the best I could find so I decided to try it out. As I had read so many reviews on other brands warning of sharp things in other soaps, I was very wary when I got it. I broke a small piece off the large hunk and smooshed it through my fingers carefully to feel for any unwanted objects. Well, sure enough I found a small rock. I felt through the rest of the piece I broke off and it seemed fine, so I decided to use it. I found another, smaller, piece. Thankfully I was being careful so I didn't hurt myself too bad. I decided to use the soap anyway because I really like the soap part. Not so much the rocks and having to look out for them.....but the soap works so well for my skin I decided it was worth it. So far I haven't found any more rocks. I think maybe it was just a fluke. One rock in one place, and a little piece had broken off of it. Besides the rock, the soap is excellent and has helped to keep the oily skin on my face under control. It dries out my skin a little bit, but I have really oily skin so it doesn't bother me. The large amount will last me at least 8 months too. I would give it 5 stars I like it so much, except for the rock. So basically my advice is, get the soap, be careful and pay attention though.

I bought this soap last year but did not use it until this year, about a week ago. It was kept sealed in my bathroom cabinet. I made/cut four individual bars out of it and was really looking forward to using it. I like that it had no fragrance and yes, it does make a nice lather. But I found it to be rather gummy after use--particularly on the bottom of the bar that sits in a soap dish. Maybe the bar has to be completely dry after use, not sure. Once dry, the soap developed a white film on its surface. I also, found my face to be dry after use which made me hesitant to use it again as I have sensitive skin. Maybe it just me, maybe I should have used it sooner, maybe I just got a bad batch but now I don't want to risk irritating my skin so I have set this aside.

Wooooo do i love me some black soap lol. I wasnt expecting much when i ordered this product, just went by the reviews. And i was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality was good. I just cut off a block each time and put it in my soap dish. It lathers great and cleans like no other. What i love about this product is how super clean i feel after using it. Theres nothing i hate more than bathing but not feeling clean or like the soap got rid of all odors. This product does that and as a bonus it does dry out any pimples you might happen to have on yur body.

Love this soap! I have normal to dry skin and it makes my skin feel very clean and super smooth all over after each use. It's kind of strange looking but does the job well. The product is about three to five times the size of a regular bar of soap and should last a very long time. The bar is so large, I cut it in small sections and stored the remaining pieces in the re-sealable package it arrived in. If you are looking for a natural soap that is fragrance-free, lathers up well and leaves your skin silky smooth, I highly recommend you give this product a try.

Exactly what we were looking for. Great fragrance and texture. Packaging is very very nice. Initially did not know what to expect purchasing a facial cleanser from Amazon but very pleased with the outcome.

I actually really like this soap. I have used raw African Black soap in the past, and it burned my skin to a crisp. Maybe I wasn't using it right or maybe the soap wasn't the real deal. This soap, however, is pretty good! My skin usually lets me know when it doesn't like something right away, but I had no issues with this one. I will order again.

So far I'm enjoying this! I've had it for about a week and it seems like it's already helping my skin.

Still on the fence about this product. I personally think it dries out my skin.
