With Love from My Kitchen

Loved this book had one already I decided to keep through the years. This is so nice . Beautiful set up mice inside to put your favorite recipes. I'm using this one to give to my Son after I put all my favorite recipes in it just a great gift idea.

When I was in college my mother bought a recipe book that had one recipe of each type and the rest were pages with lines for you to write in your own recipes. That was over 30 years ago and I use that book all the time. The recipes she added were favorites from my childhood and as I found new favorites, I added them to the book. Now that my children are young adults, she wanted to give them the same gift. I searched through Amazon and some local book stores and selected this book to be the closest to what I had been given. The front of the book has an index so you can list the recipes and the page number where they can be found. It is divided up into lots of logical sections so you can group similar types of recipes together (meats, breads, desserts, etc.). The lined pages for you to write your recipes are set up so you have a lot of space to write and flexibility in how your recipe looks. Several books I saw had ingredients on the left and the recipe on the right, which is hard to make legible in my opinion. This book is also designed so it will lay flat when opened.The negatives for this book go back to the index. For some reason, the index is set up for you to list your recipes in alphabetical order. This works great if you just sit down and fill up the book but most people will use this book over time and it becomes impossible to maintain that order. It would be better if the index was set up like the pages in the book itself, in categories with enough lines for the recipes that fit into that category. The other issue is the lack of page numbers. There are no numbers on any of the pages, so what exactly are you indexing? This is easily fixed with a sharpie and a few minutes to go through and hand write page numbers throughout the book.The two negatives I listed are minor inconveniences and overall this is a great way to give something written in Mom's own hand to the younger generation that they will cherish for a lifetime. Yes, you can find just about any recipe on the internet but it won't have Mom's comments written in the margins.

I was so excited to find this recipe book available for purchase. I didn't think these books were still made. My sister and I grew up reading and making recipes out of my mom's With Love from My Kitchen (which she received for Christmas in 1986 from her sister).I had been looking for the perfect family recipe book to give to my older sister as a Christmas gift, and I couldn't find one that was similar to Edwards' book. When I was about to give up and just order one of the Card boxes, I stumbled upon this and immediately had to purchase it. I even bought a second one for myself!The books were new and in great condition when they arrived. It was exactly like my mom's book. My sister absolutely loved it as a gift!This recipe book makes a great Christmas gift for family or friends. It makes a great bridal shower gift or wedding gift. It would have also been fun to have people write a recipe in the book for a bride-to-be at a wedding shower.I chose this book not only for the sentimental value, but also because I can't find any other book quite like this one. I like the categories it is divided into (not too many, not too little). I like that it is all bound together (instead of recipe cards) and it is a small, easy to store book. There are over 200 pages for recipes and each section has an index page.I recommend that you use contact paper to protect the front and back covers after personalizing the front with your name.

To be they no longer make the it’s in good condition compared to the one passed down to me it looks like something just copied the pages and cover the original is I little thicker and it already had some recipes in it the cover looks like it was ripped a little bit but overall it is pretty decent

When I was digging around for a family recipe book that would fit my family, the aesthetic of this one caught my eye. I personally find the book cover design (and the format of the book in general) very nostalgic. Not only that, but the material of the cover is very sturdyThe book is spiral, so you can always add your own pages if you need to. It comes with tons on it's own, and even has different categories for every single recipe. I found that very neat and I was happy that it had that. It even comes with a recipe already, one written down by the creators!The inside lets you have a spot to put your name, but you can easily fit more than one name (which is what my family and I did).It holds the old style of a spiral recipe book, and that is a charm I enjoy about it. While I wish the pages had more lines if you need to get detailed, I can write in a format to bypass that.I recommend using pencil when you write your recipes, just in case you make a mistake.

Double check your order. I paid $20 for a used blank cookbook. Not worth it.

I bought this to hand write my recipes and some family recipes in and gave it to my niece for Christmas. It was a lot of work to hand write all the recipes-but I felt this would be more personal and that's the way I would want it-if I was receiving it myself. She loved it! You can also personalize the cover-which is also a nice touch. There were plenty of pages-enough to have some blank ones in each section so she can add her own favorite recipes over time. The only thing that would've made this cookbook better is if the pages could've been just a little bit larger to fit the longer recipes on one page instead of using two pages-but it worked out ok.

I've owned this book for years and put all my favorite recipes in it. It gets used constantly. When I found these on Amazon I purchased three for my mother to use as Christmas gifts for her grandchildren. She put a few of her recipes that they especially like in the book to start them out. They all loved them and the fact that they now have some of Grandma's recipes.

Had one of these before and love it.
