First of all, the patterns are super cute. So many to choose from. I am a beginner at embroidery but these weren’t hard to do at all. Plus, if you don’t know how to do a certain embroidery style, YouTube videos help! The embroidery styles used in these patterns are pretty much similar throughout. It mostly uses the satin stitch.The patterns are pretty small, but if you have a scanner you can enlarge it and print it out. If not, maybe you can take a picture of it, send it to your email, enlarge it and then print it out — just a thought. I didn’t do it this way because I personally like the size of the patterns. It’s perfect for handkerchiefs, socks, clothes, etc.Overall, I recommend this book if you’re looking for some cute embroidery patterns.* It also has a few patterns for cross stitching as well.

This book rocks! I got the kindle edition so I can print the patterns out for transfer and it even comes with a pdf of all of the patterns to make that even easier to manipulate them before printing. This is a book for creative stitchers that like to take an idea and make it their own. It does not have projects per se but components you can use in your own designs. I think some of them will be great for seaming pieced fabrics or quilts as well as straight up embroidery projects.

The designs are precious, whimsical and have character. I recommend this book for someone with artistic ability, since you have to trace the designs and they are very detailed and tiny...a lot is left to you. The book includes four differed alphabet pages with animals which are very well done. It also includes several larger scenes that can be used for larger pieces, these are often missing from other books of this type. Do not recommend for the beginner.

This book is chock full of the sweetest little animals to embroider. They are very realistic and it’s a fun challenge to mimic their creator’s talented stitchings. The instructions are well thought out and helpful.If you love animals and the art of embroidery, you’ll enjoy this book!

I really love this book. Such a well done book with so many adorable designs. I would only say that it is not a book for people who don't know how to hand embroider. You'll need another book, or YouTube, or a teacher for clarification on that. It does have some instructions, but for this beginner, it wasn't enough on its own to get me over the learning curve. Still, I highly recommend this book for its wonderful designs.

If you really want some small embroidery motifs that are out of the ordinary, this book is for you. There are hundreds of uses for what is shown in this book, but I use them in my crazy quilt to add a bit of humor.

These are just adorable, I only wish I had a lot more time to stitch them onto everything. I thought it more worthwhile to buy on Kindle: cheaper and I can trace the designs right from the book/included pdf.

Cute little embroidery ideas/figures. Lots of variety. Very very (hence the teeny tiny) small figures. I use them for hankies and small figures on quilt squares. Sweet. Lots of variety.

This book is amazing. I have a very large collection of sewing and embroidery books and this has shot to the top..The ideas are super and the way each motif it is explained is amazing. The pictures are very detailed so there is no way you can't follow them and replicate them. I just love it and would recommend it to any level of sewer. It's a MUST for all . A real gem of a book.

There are lots of really sweet patterns in this book. Most are fairly simple, although on some patterns you will have to resort to your own artistic abilities to get the shading of colors right. All in all, I really enjoyed it.
