This Day (Regular Edition): A Wesleyan Way of Prayer (How Is It With Your Soul?) Paperback – July 1, 2004

I was looking for something different in the way of a devotional guide and this book was recommended. It is not a novel nor just a devotional - it is a guide to prayer for 365 days a a year. I especially like that it includes prayer for the day, the season, the occasion, and the congregation. While there are prayers, it also includes a schedule for Bible passages as well for each day.

This seems to be a solid resource for daily prayer (and prayer for many occasions), but the Kindle edition makes it impractical to use. There is not table of contents so it is very difficult to go from one section of prayers to another. If you want to purchase this book, my suggestion is to get the old fashion 'tree killer' edition and start flipping pages. Blessings in your journey.

I discovered this 'daily' devotional book through a Pastor friend. when we meet we always start with this. Now I have my own and I love it. I recommend this to any church leader. I recommend this to anyone that takes a few minutes a day to be with Our Creator. It is very detailed. definately makes you 'THINK'!

I have had the privilege of being a student in two classes with Dr. Stookey. His language is superb, and his insights are unique and expanding. While I have used this as a daily devotional for two years, I find something new each time I meditate on the suggested readings. I give it to friends as a gift often.

I've been using this for a couple weeks, and enjoy the structure and guidance provided. It helps me with focus and discipline in my prayer life.

The content of this book and I like the flexibility seems great but the Kindle version does not have real page numbers which is a problem considering the book is very upfront about needing to flip back and forth for the different prayers. Its sounds incredibly flexible for prayer which is great but the lack of real pages numbers make it nearly impossible. Also all the references to those sections are noted as pages numbers in the book text and non of them are linked to the location in the book.Really hope this book gets updated with real page numbers, kindle location references instead of page numbers or links on every reference or even better all of the above.!
