He Could be a Contender..... but
The eyes light up red and this guy hoots pretty much non-stop around here because of my squirrels and blowing trees he senses within 15 feet anyway. However, after an hour or two he stops responding in any way until he’s turned off for a few minutes then turned on again. This is ongoing and extremely inconvenient. The head does NOT swivel as expected or even the packaging indicates. I originally rated this guy three stars but have revised and am returning because of the constant shut down and finally because this morning I took a picture (that I can hopefully attach) that convinced me these guys are ineffective.

Quit Working After Two Weeks
The owl looks good and at first it worked well making the sound and flashing eyes when motion is detected. However, after only 2 weeks, it just stopped working despite getting plenty of solar rays. I left seller feedback but didn't get a response so I returned it as defective.

Doesn't work whatsoever.
The owl does not make noise, nor do the eyes light up. The presence of the owl does nothing to deter other birds from swarming my dock.As if the complete lack of functionality wasn't bad enough, the product is poorly made - the owl is meant to be mounted to a surface using two metal tabs, which are fastened to the underside of the owl by one screw each, and these come out very easily.Returned it for a refund.

Save your cash
Gave it 2 stars as it seems to be keep the birds off our dock so far but the eyes and the sound quit working 3 days after I received It. Changed the rechargeable batteries but still not working. You’d be better off just buying a cheap Owl because in the end that’s what I got at a steep price.

Doesn’t work
The motion sensor doesn’t work. It makes a hooting sound all the time. It came with rechargeable batteries but they failed after all that hooting and the solar panel failed to recharge them.

This owl is not effective as advertised.
This product was a waste of my money. The solar eyes are of no help during the daylight when most of the ciders I wanted to distract are out. Also, the noise from the owl sounds phony. After setting this owl out, it only took a few minutes until the birds and squirrels were playing with it as they continued to eat in my garden. I am requesting a refund.

Great looking, but sounds horrible
The owl statue itself is great looking an appears to be decent quality. However the "hooting" audio, sounds like someone is coughing loudly into a microphone.
