It simply is good clean fun with masterful illustrations to boot. They are amusing enough to bring a smile to any age-group, come to think of it. Can highly recommend and will keep buying them. It's wonderful to be able to buy them in this omnibus format, three at a time, because it not only saves shelf space (we have them all separately, and a lot of them hardcover), but it saves a lot of money, too! My son-in-law, being a barely graduated engineer, loves the shelf-space aspect, needless to say, and my daughter doesn't mind re-reading all her old favorites, either. A perfect present all round. We'll keep collecting, and adding. For those of you unfamiliar with this French comic, it's history with a big grin---Julius Caesar and the Gauls from a whole new angle. Rather irreverent, and I'm sure the Romans could complain if they were still around, but hilariously good fun, and clean, too! Like a graphic novel about adventures in historic times, but with some of the cuteness of the smurfs and the tongue-in-cheek sarcasm of Garfield rolled into it as well, you might say.
