I cook a lot and the blades on my knives get dull. I own many knife sharpeners and bought this because the reviews on Amazon were so good. It is truly a great little thing that does the job very well. I was headed for an electric sharpener but now I think that I have found my go-to sharpener.It suctions securely to the countertop. After 8 to 10 pull through motions, the blade has a super sharp edge. I like that it is small and so easy to use.Most of all, I like that my knives are sharp and much more useful now.Highly recommend.

My knife collection includes many different brands, and finding a single block to hold them all was impossible - until I got the Kapoosh. The Kapoosh is currently storing 8 cooking knives - including a butcher knife, curved grapefruit knife, and cheese spear; 4 steak knives; a pair of kitchen shears; and a knife sharpener. there is no way I could have gotten these into a traditional block.The little "fingers" that hold the knives come out and really do go through the dishwasher and come out just fine - no more trying to clean the kitchen grease out of those stupid knife block slots.As an added bonus, because you can put knives in in any direction I've been able to turn the Kapoosh sideways and push it up against the back of my counter, but still have the knife handles facing toward me.My only complaint is that the stainless marks up pretty easily, but that's true of any stainless appliance, and it looks great in my kitchen. If you're worried about finger marks, though, the wood one might be the way to go.

Great quality EDC for $20. G10 handles and great Quality Steel, thick blade and weight being over 5 oz.... Better than my Cryo...

This is absolutely not legitimate Damascus steel, it's a regular knife with patterns etched into it.

I recently was looking to purchase a fairly inexpensive backup knife to use for the outdoors. The Alabama Slammer caught my eye for two reasons. First, it looks big and mean. Second, the knife was priced well within my budget. AllegrettiI checked for somewhat sharp edges around the guard and pommel and found none. These areas were smooth without any problems.This knife is rated 4-stars due to the selling price. You are getting a slightly better knife than what you are paying for but no more. Do not expect this knife to be an SOG Specialty Knife. It does 'look' like a bit like an unfinished product, as mentioned in another review, but it is solid. I will carry this around as a backup knife but by no means will it take the place of my frontline survival/wilderness knife.BOTTOM LINE: Great Value-LordStryker

I am giving it a 5 star based solely on initial impression and use only. Product works well but question longevity of the item. It sticks like glue to the counter which is super safe! It sharpens knives well although it takes several swipes to sharpen. Probably due to my knives not being as sharp as I thought they were? Anyway, for the price, you can't beat it!

great for exactly ten days. then gradually lost it's edge, stopped giving my knives the edge it had initially. It worked really well and then, I don't know.BTW the suction cup was a little worrisome but it held, so I can't say what would have happened had I kept it. but it wasn't reassuring I'll say that. RETURNED.

This item seemed used to me, it would not sharpen the knife as expected. I have had other sharpeners similar and they worked perfectly and I thought these would be the same, I was disappointed so I returned them.
