Better than I heard it was
I understand why the end times is very disliked but it was still an entertaining read. I was hoping my favorite characters would play a bigger part and get a good conclusion but there really wasnt (Skaven). Im rating this based on how interesting it was, not die-hard fan sort of way.

Sad to see this series end
Sad to see this series end, I really enjoyed it. I don't want to make any spoilers but it confirms a few questions that this series and book universe has left hanging and overall was enjoyable. I didn't expect to enjoy the character Archaon but I actually really liked the way they portrayed him, I was also surprised by some of the twists they put into this book and it kept things interesting the entire way through.

Imagine the last episode of the Sopranos
If it weren't material I have been following for decades, I'd give it one star. Even then, though, the shoddy treatment the material receives throughout most of this series is really terrible. Epic characters just parachute into the story out of nowhere, then either do nothing at all or get killed off with no one caring. When *every* character is some legendary warrior thing, then *every* character is the same and the titular embellishments don't matter. There are 12 characters in the book who are some kind of "king": broken king, three eyed king, eternity king, undying king, etc etc. Every character is unique just like every other character. In fact, at the end of the story almost nothing mattered. I have to assume that Games Workshop is just doing a universal reboot on the intellectual property and this was a slipshod way of wiping the slate.

This could have been much better, I expected better from a writer but what do you expect from gamers?

Great book
This is a must read if you are reading the other end times book, it is the conclusion to the story and while it may not be perfect, I really enjoyed reading through this book.

Hard hitting and action from beginning to end with seldom a pause. Crisp writing and an excellent plot development allowed one to fully immerse within the storyline. Excellent read.

Spoiler alert! Very disappointed with blithe treatment of decades old fantasy material. Some excellent scenes, but mostly a hurry to reboot.

Josh Reynolds never disappoints me
A wonderful conclusion for the End Times series. Reynolds managed to depict vivid and realistic characters, and to keep the flow of the story always interesting. Plus, the cover art is so badass that makes you almost feel Archaon's crushing will. Not that one should judge a book by the cover, but that's it :)
