This is a 4-star controller, but I got a defective one.
I absolutely love these controllers. I have multiples of them, including some that I keep as back-ups, which brings me to the reason why they're not 5-star controllers: durability. Fresh out of the box, they are outstanding: very responsive and (I use the snap-on circular d-pad attachment) easy to hit both cardinal directions and diagonals with the few "misses" due to user error, not the controller. However, if you use them every day, like I do, the d-pads eventually (we're talking about a year or so of heavy use) become worn out, and you'll have a direction (probably down, if you've modded your NES and/or SNES classic & use "Down + Select in order to return to the menu regularly) that has to be pressed harder than it should in order to register. So, they're great while they last, but they're not the quality of first-party controllers (or top-of-the-line third-party controllers), simply because they don't have the durability that those controllers have, that is, they aren't going to last for years to come, unless they are rarely used. All that being said, the last one I got was a "dud" - for me, at least. I have a European SNES Classic, and the metal connector of the dongle was off-center, so that it would not fit on my console. I have another blue one that fits just fine; this one was just a defect. It fit fine in my NES Classic, because the controller ports are rotated 90 degrees compared to the orientation of the European (and I think the American..?) SNES Classic, but it was a no-go on the SNES Classic, because the plastic casing prevented the dongle from fitting into the port. Returned for a refund, but I'll keep buying these until they halt production. You get your money out of the ones that work, and I've only run into a single defective one out of seven total.

Very surprising, good buy
I was able to pick this up for $7, and was a bit skeptical. It works with both NES and SNES mini systems. responsive, no delays that I could notice. Not as ergonomical as the more expensive controllers are, but you get used to it fairly quick. It's a decent controller if u can pick up for under $15 but that's max pricing with taxes.
