But I like it! I think if it is any bigger it will not be as elegant as it is meant to be. The pearl is definitely the statement focal point and it is not flat (the picture doesn't show that). It is a round pearl so the backside bulges out to accommodate the pearl shape. The hair actually meet up with the tail a lot more than what is perceived on the picture so from far away, it almost look like a teardrop setting with the pearl in the middle. People have to look closely to see that it is actually a mermaid. I think that is kind of cool. For the price I really did not expect a nice piece and for the chain of any substance. The chain is kind of thin but not as flimsy as I thought it is going to be and a nice link shape to match the delicate design of the pendant. The design is Art Noveau-ish. So overall the purchase is a 5 star and I would recommend it for others as an everyday piece that is a bit artsy and unusual. This is my 50th birthday jewelry piece for myself. We didn't want to make big deal about it but do want a little something to commemorate this life event. This fit the purpose perfectly!!

It is not too short either like a choker...it falls right in the middle.The pearl adds a precious touch to this necklace and inscription below is what made me purchase it from WRISTCHIE. Bought this as a gift and decided I liked it so much I needed one too. Pearl, charm and chain are small and delicate but for the price you really can't complain. If I did complain about anything it woouold be the gift box. The box is tiny and doesn't do the necklace justice. Before I gave it to my friend, I changed out the gift box.

Bought for my sister who loves mermaids! She’s petite & in her 50’s so I wanted something somewhat subtle and not too flashy. I was really pleased with the delicate shape, polish, and size of this piece. From a few feet away it just looks like pearl pendant, wouldn’t notice the mermaid unless you were close & looking at it. (I know the pic is a little blurry, but you get the idea)

This necklace is so dainty and beautiful, it will become my go-to accessory. At first, I wished the necklace were a little longer, but now I am happy with the length. I only hope the chain holds up to the test of time, but I may take the charm off and put it on a sturdier one. I love this necklace and I wish I had kept it for myself rather than give it to the person it was meant for! Very dainty but you can still see the details in the mermaid.
