I could easily read it in a few hours if I didn't ...
I'm a little over half way done. This story makes it hard for me to put it down. I could easily read it in a few hours if I didn't have so many other things to do. I have to limit my reading time.

I was right when I thought the next book was better...
Yea, I was right when I thought the next book was better and truth is it was. No Easy Way Out held so much more promise for me and I’m kind of glad I read it and I’m kind of disappointed I did all at the same time.Lexi, Ryan, Marco, Shay and thousands of other people are still stuck in the mall thanks to the bomb that gave off a deadly virus. Now the Senator, Lexis mother, must keep everyone happy and orderly until the quarantine is officially over. The question is, how long will it last? How many people will be left when this is all over? Will there be any survivors? While people are pulling out of this new dangerous flu, recovering thanks to new health procedures,(spoiler) a new strain has appeared which infects only teenage-college aged people. Then the mall is separated causing even more of a division. (end spoiler)During all of that the Senator must deal with the rebels of the mall who believe they can escape. Knowing Marco has a key card she asks him for help as long as he does he gets to keep his key card. Both agree to work together although it begins to take a toll on his own sanity and safety.Parties are thrown in secrete, only the Senator and Marco know this is happening, for the troubled teens in the mall. With alcohol (which is kind of weird if they are underage) and I mean a lot of it. These kids are in high school some of them are heavy drinkers which I think is strange so why would the Senator let Marco have all these drinks and such for high schoolers? That was really my only problem. But there’s something more sinister going on behind the scenes the teenagers aren’t the only ones stirring up trouble. The relationships between the characters either grow or wither away in this novel causing high tensions between each of them. Some are forgiven others not so easily.Overall this book is written much more better although, I still feel like it’s a slow paced book with little description. 470 pages and still nothing happens until the last 200ish pages, when you get to those last 200 though the book really picks up pace making it hard to put down. I could not tear my eyes away from the chaos and terror that is happening in this mall. Perhaps it’s so slow because how much can happen in a mall? Apparently a lot with those back hallways. It leaves me with more questions. Would this really happen in a mall quarantine? When will they get out? More importantly, would I survive? If you like the first book No Safety in Numbers, thriller books, survival ones or quarantines this is the book for you!

Sequel on Steroids
No Easy Way Out is not a sequel to No Safety In Numbers. It is a continuation and escalation of the fear and chaos from book #1. No Easy Way Out picks up just two hours after No Safety In Numbers ended. It appears that the thousands of shoppers quarantined inside the giant mall have calmed down and are cooperating with the new rules and new rules enforcers. Appearances can be deceiving. The trouble makers and rebels have found ways to stay out of sight and are content to operate in secret. Things might have gone on uneventfully, but Marco and Lexi uncover some dire secrets and make the mistake of telling others. Paranoia and vengeance take over and violence erupts. Readers need to be prepared for bloody fights, senseless killing and characters who started out as good guys turning into monsters. Oh, and the virus is still killing people, too. No Easy Way Out is compelling and terrifying. Readers can understand how the mall detainees feel abandoned and abused. They, and the reader, know that the government may have no intention of saving them. Book 3 will end the story, but readers will remember this series for a long, long time.

No Easy Way Out
No Easy Way Out by Dayna Lorentz is more interesting than the first of the series. The character development is more detailed and better. The story flows because the writing is much better also. I am looking forward to No Dawn Without Darkness to see if it is even more interesting than No Easy Way Out.

Social Justice Cringe
Ewww. The most under studied design of character development I have ever read. The worst. How this person got paid to write THREE of these books is unknown to me. Good luck with this drivel."Maddie was a rebel. "
