It does require a certain amount of proper pressure to release, and I fear it could eventually break. But the unit does the job it is supposed to... if the locking tab were more robust I'd rate the whole thing a 4 or 5 as to my slight experience with the adapter so far. This means that when you want to focus or zoom, you must use two hands. One to turn the focus or zoom ring and the other to hold the lens and adapter from twisting within the Light Blaster's mount.I also have a K&F Concept lens adapter.
