Good adventure
The story is engaging; I enjoyed reading it. Some of the characters are a bit improbable. Working together to solve problems, they make their extreme differences mesh together well.

Card items were missing from book
I ordered this book for my grandson for Christmas. I believe I had inquired, prior to ordering, if the 6 cards were included. They were not!

A King's Ransom (The 39 Clues: Cahills vs. Vespers, Book 2)
I bought this series for my nephews who are now 14 and 15 years of age. They have loved them and I have to admit that I have been reading them right along with them. They are written very well. They are one of those books that grad you and don't want to let you go till you reach the end and then you are craving the next book by the time it comes out.

I eat these books like M&Ms
I loved the original series, and the extension, while not quite as consistently pleasing as the original is very satisfying on the whole. The characters delight me, and although the hunt grows somewhat preposterous, I like that we are seeing new depths as the youngsters become teenagers.

11 year boy loved his book
My 11 year old nephew who loves in Sweden wanted this book for his birthday. He reads/speaks English fluently. He read this in less than a week then proceeded to read it again. I personally haven't read it but based on his reading habits I would say it was a winner.

Boney Church
This is another great sequel. The more books I read in this series the more I want to read. All the information are ingenious, bursting with erudition. More characters are added in this book and it makes the coterie seem really intelligent and able bodied to tackle any master mind criminal enemy family. However, Dan could be gathering the wrong ingredients to become even more exposed to the Vespers!!! I can hardly wait to read the next book "The Dead of Night". Have fun!!!

Cahills vs. Vespers 2: A King's Ransom
The book is so very thrilling! It also seems very realistic in the sense that though Dan and Amy are able enough to get what Vesper 1 wants but are not able to save their family from him.... The characterization is realistic and show how the circumstances are influencing them to make certain decisions... The end is spine-chiiling.... I gave it 4 stars as no book can be perfect! I loved every second of reading it!
