Unusual cable is exactly what I needed - up vs. down
I recently bought a CD slot magnetic phone mount that works great, but a standard USB cord plugged in to the bottom of it interferes with the car's shift lever. I needed a short cord (distance from mount to power adapter was about 6 inches) and one where the cord exited back towards the dashboard. This was the only one I could find that fit the bill, and it works great. I no longer hit the cord when moving the shift lever into (or out of) Park and I don't have a long cord to find a place for.It was not 100% clear to me what was meant by "Up" and "Down" here - the photos were low resolution so I took a gamble. A MicroUSB plug is trapezoidal-shaped, with a narrow side and a wide side. The "Up" version has the cable exit the narrow side, while the "Down" version has the cable exit the wide side.
