Sturdy and Excellent for indoor use
I live in Minnesota where winter runs for a very long period. I like using parallel bars outdoors during the summer months located within our park system. However, I could not use them during the winter months so I wanted to install indoor bars in our basement. When I inquired about installed systems, the quotes were in the $1,200 to $1,500 range because those would have used concrete to ground them into the existing floor. If I did not like them, I would have to pay money to dismantle and uninstall. Other online options were also really expensive in the range of a few thousand dollars. This one was was at a low price point.I am 5' 7" and 160 pounds. The pictures on Amazon that showed a person using them reassured that these bars would hold my weight. The order was delivered quickly and assembly was straight forward (took a few minutes). I have been using them for two weeks and am very much impressed with this equipment. The design is elegant and sturdy; it looks nice in my basement. The height of these bars is similar to the height of the bars outdoors but the length is shorter. The length of the bars is good enough for me and I am able to fulfill all my routines. Quick note: people who are taller may not be able to complete all their routines. Before ordering, make sure that the length of the bars would meet your needs.

Amazing at this price!!!
Couldn't believe how great this works! Other freestanding parallel bars are so expensive in comparison. The distance between the bars is predrilled for 22", which is way to wide for the advanced maneuvers I bought it to practice. The modification was so simple though. I just moved the outer holes, on one side of the vertical supports, to the inner holes on the ground pieces . This makes the distance between the bars a perfect 18". All you have to do then is drill new holes through the bottom support piece ( the bit costs around 2$) which is simple because you have the over lapping vertical support piece there, with its hole as a guide. It took me 5 minutes more. Note that none of that needs to be done if your happy with the 22" width between bars. Without the mod it takes less than 10 min to setup. Shipping was a lightning fast 2 days!!! The unit is very sturdy for heavy swings , plyo , and russian dips. The height is nice and you can even practice L-sit pull-ups and assisted one arm pull-ups off of it. I would highly recommend this, if you don't have access to a proper set of parallel bars.

Shaky Gets the Job Done
The moorings are loose. With all the screws in, I at first felt uncomfortable because the bar could still be shaken side to side and forward and back like its loose around its base. Additionally, I only received 7 of the 8 eight screws required to put the bars to together. The "8th" screw was too short, a lack of attention to detail that was compounded by the fact several screws had rust or gunk in between the edges. However, its easy to build based on the good instructions and simple design, and you get what you pay for.

Excellent product!
These bars are excellent. I have been using them for my calisthenics routine and they are very similar to the parallel bars found at a park. These things are very sturdy and they are a good size. I would suggest fastening them down to the ground if possible for added safety although the base is quite stable if that is not an option. The actual bars themselves are a good thickness which makes them easier to grip and do planch's, handstands, dips, levers, L-sit pullups ans many other things. I would totally buy these again. Absolutely worth it!

Super great and sturdy but wider I think for men like 2"s
Super great and sturdy. Probably more for men because I think the bars are 2"s wider I think than usual.

Great equipment, very sturdy and well worth the price
Great equipment, very sturdy and well worth the price. I use it for gymnastic warm ups and conditioning exercises when I'm not at the gym. Installation was moderately difficult as 2 of the holes did not line up. Had to buy 2 thinner bolts in order to finish. But the effort was worth it as I can now practice my gymnastic routines at home!

Total Trash
Absolute garbage. No instructions included. Assembled it according to the picture above. Totally wobbly and not even close to safe. Also have a number of extra bolts and washers (no, I didn't forget to put some in). Any of the other reviews that say this thing is sturdy are total fabrications. I would return it, but I don't feel like disabling it and trying to fit it back into the packaging. Total waste of money. Learn from my mistake.

Great product, just what i was looking for, I used to have a dip station, sold it to get this because of the greater freedom of movement and ability to incorporate other exercises and variations.
