consistency for espresso and fine grind pour-overs.
Overall, this feel extremely sturdy, and ready to eat through any beans you put in it.For an espresso level grind I finish in about half the time it takes to boil water in my kettle. For pour-overs, maybe 30s if you're going at it pretty good.Dialing in for espresso is pretty easy, but there's definitely a learning curve with the stepless adjustment it sports.Oh and the funnel they send with the Lido E, is a god send for espresso. That was lovely.Overall, I give it a 9.5/10My only nitpicks are about little small quality of things they possibly could have added.

Lives up to the hype
Great grinder. True to the hype. Only negative with my unit is the screws are toned down way to tightly making disassembly impossible.

dissappointing quality
The plastic container used to hold grinds does not stay on after mere months of use. The grinder uses cheap plastic parts that gets stripped after light use and I was forced to buy replacement parts. Very disappointing in the quality. If they were selling glass parts on website why not include it in the original grinder? Adjusting for grind size is also unintuitive and not enjoyable. going to get rid of it and buy a commandante like I should have done in the first place.

Waited Years for This..
Perfect, just perfect! You could not ask for a better Manual Coffee Grinder. I truly appreciate the micro adjustment capabilities of the Lido E. To be able to steplessly fine tune every grind, for every variety of Coffee, to best suit all the unique needs, of "all" the different ways to brew Coffee ... is just amazing! Thank You Orphen Espresso!!

Very impressed. Just as good as my Mazzer Mini 58mm flat burr grinder
I got this manual grinder kind of as a lark. I have a 17 year old Mazzer Mini 58mm flat burr electric grinder with brand new burrs that works great for espresso. I had been reading about conical burr grinders for a long time and was wanting to really try one. The electric ones aren't cheap and I didn't want to spend that much just to see if there was any difference from my Mazzer with flat burrs. I started researching manual conical burr grinders. I settled on the Lido E Manual Espresso grinder. It's larger in size than most manual grinders but I'm not planning to travel with it so I don't care. I have to say I am really impressed. This thing will grind finer than my Mazzer. I can also say there is a noticeable taste difference between conical and flat burr grinders. The shots brewed with the Lido taste different from the Mazzer. I can't say one is better than the other, they are just different and I really like the flavor of both. It's added variety to my shots. Now I cycle between the two grinders and really enjoy the difference. Frankly, anyone could use this as there primary espresso grinder if they don't mind doing it manually. For $200 it's a bargain.

Good high end hand griding
In general good, but I am not crazy about the adjustment method, and I'm not particularly fond of the way the burrs feel misaligned at 'esspresso grinds'. That being said, I am pretty consistently pulling delicious shots from my la pavoni since getting this grinder (was only hit or miss before), so it must be doing something right.

Excellent hand grinder
I've used the Lido E every day over the last months, and it works splendidly. The large burr set makes short work of my beans for espresso, and grind consistency is outstanding. This is a quality product, built to last, and I feel it was worth the price. The extra touches, such as the dosing funnel which screws onto the coffee jar, and the base for use and storage on the kitchen counter, show the thoughtful design involved. The quality of the grind for espresso matches or exceeds the grind from electric machines that cost far, far more.
