Lenmar Replacement Battery for Canon EOS Rebel Xsi XS T1i EF-S EOS Kiss X2 Xsi 500D 450D 1000D Digital Rebel XS Replaces OEM Canon LP-E5

I bought two of these batteries from Amazon for my new Canon T1i, free Second Day shipping with my Prime membership.The battery life is great for the price, it's pretty close to the battery life of the original Canon one. During my trip to Dallas, I took about 600 pictures with one of this battery, used flash light on about 150 of the pictures. The battery still have 2 out of 4 bars(so maybe around 30% power) left when I took it out, I'm sure I can take another 200 or so pictures with it. No fitment problem with my T1i. The only con I have is that packaging is really hard to open. :)This is the best battery you can get for your Canon DSLR camera without paying $50 for the original Canon one. Highly recommended!

I ordered this to have a backup battery for my Canon T1i when I went on vacation. I've used it twice and it DOES work with my camera appropriately, charges relatively quickly, but it doesn't last as long (or at least doesn't seem to - I haven't actually set up a real world exact same usage test. I can tell you, though, that most of my shooting lately has been in daylight with no flash with either my 55-250 or my 50mm lens) as the Canon battery. That being said, it seems to last maybe 2/3 of the time of the Canon battery, and for the price is worth it. I don't know if it will last as many recharges as Canon or more or less. Haven't gotten to the end of either battery life.I would probably buy another one of these again in the same circumstances though.

I've had this battery almost 18 months now (some 60,000 pictures later). I alternate this battery equally with the factory Canon battery in my T1i, and am glad to report I can't tell the two apart (short of the brand name written on the battery case). They both still last nearly as long as when new (>80% original capacity) and charge fast with the Canon kit charger (that came with my camera).UPDATE:Two and a half years after this purchase, the battery is still doing great. I'm starting to notice that it holds marginally less charge than my (now) two Canon batteries; however over time this could be due to not exposing all of the batteries to the exact same conditions. I'm still very happy with this purchase, and recommend using a couple of these as primary batteries with a trusty Canon standing by in emergency.

It's ok. It does not hold a charge as long as the Canon battery even though it has the same mAh rating. There is a clear noticeable difference that I estimate at about 60-75% of the time of the Canon.

It's true it has a very good price, i bought it at the same order with my Canon T1i.Canon Battery at first time had less life than this "LENMAR DLCE5" who takes closely 50% more than CANON; now (1 year later and 5757 pictures) the battery drains after about 50 shots (first time shoots more than 700, i remember i can shoot the entire 16Gb card and i was very surprised, by the meanwhile the canon holds only about 10Gb); Canon still maintain its original lifetime.I don't recommend this battery only if you want a long spare time for a very short lifetime, i just charge and recharge the battery about 5 or 6 times in one year.

Battery live is to short compared with the canon ones and that gets worst with time. Canon battery performance stand better with the time.Price wise seems a good deal at first but in the long term I prefer the original one: Less batteries to carry, less batteries change to make, less batteries junk at the end.

I bought this battery to have an extra one to use along with the "official" Canon battery that came with my Rebel XSi.I can say that after using it for a year it lasts just as long as the regular battery. I have had no issues with it and I don't worry about which battery I have in my camera at any time. It's great to have a reliable backup and the price is right on this one.I would definitely recommend this product.

I've been using this lenmar battery for 2 months now & it works great! After reading the many reviews I decided to make the purchase. I have been pleasantly surprised by the battery life. I use it in my battery grip in conjunction with the OEM canon battery. I use the camera everyday for work & taking pictures with my kids. I only have to recharge both batteries once every 3 or 4 weeks!
