Heavy Duty Silver Tarp 6 OZ., 8'x10'

Shrinks in Hot Sun only problem 100 degrees. Take that as you size shrinks.

It's a tarp. It's made of plastic. It repels water, but I expect it will deteriorate if left out in the weather for extended periods of time. The wind knocks heck out of the weave of these tarps. But it is priced like a throw away so it's worth the price. These type tarps have a place and this one performs well.July 11, 2013 - I've had this tarp in direct ground contact under a wet pile of bark mulch for over a year and it is in "like-new" condition. I am very impressed with this tarp. It has stood beyond the test of time. I've had blue tarps that self destructed in a few months of weather, but this silver tarp has been in direct ground contact with wet bark mulch on top. It shows NO sign of deterioration to date. I've pulled up corners to compact the mulch as I use it and it does not tear. WOW!!!I'm very impressed, and will replace this with the same unit when/if it does finally deteriorate beyond use.

At 6 oz, I expected it to be thick (given the heavy duty description) but it was quite inflexible. The color was more silver than the picture but not a bright silver. I was looking for a tarp to cover stored boxes during home renovation. I returned this as bought a lighter weight tarp to have more flexibility. Another reason I returned it was it was already showing some wear in fold lines.Perhaps this would work better as a floor cover or to hang vertically as a panel since it would be a good protective cover.

I was happy to see the thickness matched the description. I used the 8x10 as a footprint for my coleman 4 person tent for car camping. It's heavy for a tarp so not a backpacking tarp. We cleared loose twigs but we needed to lay it on top of some short undergrowth. It kept the tent floor protected perfectly which is what I needed. It didn't rain but I have no doubt it'll do the job. It is a little more silver than gray but not unpleasant. It matched the tent floor so l was even happier. For the price this is a no brianer. No spots or wear on mine. Very pleased.

Great color, doesn't stick out like a sore thumb . Fairly good quality.

I bought it for the footprint for my tent (Kelty trail ridge 6).It's my first impression on this tarp.- much thicker and looks more sturdy than usual blue tarp.- both sides is equally laminated enough.- aluminium gromet every 18 inch and gromet at each corner is reinforced with PE sheet.- folded edge is also reinforced with wire inside.It's a little bit bulkier than I thought since it won't fit into the carrying bag for the tent.

No what I expected

We are using this to cover our garage floor while we have a litter of puppies in a whelping box. Hurricane Harvey caused rain and winds to come through the bottom of our garage and leak underneath the tarp. Puppies were still dry and warm with water beneath them :)
