As a professional carpet installer, this tool probably has the best bang for its buck of any tools I have seen in a long time! I had actually never seen it before, but a friend referred it to me and am I ever glad he did. Pulling staples with pliers gouges the hardwood, and when you do the motion required with pliers a few hundred times – your hands really hurt and cramp up! Screwdrivers, and tools like the Osborne did not work as fast, and also dug into the wood on the opposite side of the staple to where you slid the tool in. Other tools like the Crain 126 tend to be wide, and did not work on thinner staples. The StaplePopper nailed it! I can use it for hours on end and my hand feels fine. You are not required to grip and release like you are with a plier. The rounded back still damages the floor a little if I push hard, but if it does damage the floor - it much less than the mark left by screwdriver style tool. Truly fast and easy – I love this tool!

I HAD some SUPER STUBBORN staples to remove off of the stairs after taking up some carpet on them. The staples were SOOO ANNOYING, until this thing came along! The quality of this thing is TOP NOTCH! Very durable. This thing is worth its weight in gold. I saved SOOOO MUCH time with this thing. I spent like 4 days trying to get staples out of the steps and only got like 3 stairs done out of 16. This thing came in and I ended up getting the last 13 steps done in under 2 hours. The time saved with thing makes it worth every penny spent on it. You feel like Speedy Gonzalez using this thing. I got it done so fast. Not only is it super nice looking, it's actually functional. I would buy this thing again and again, over and over if I needed to. This is for sure a BUY, if you've got staples to remove. You'll be 100% satisfied with the speed in which you get things done with it.

This staple remover and another staple remover enabled my husband and son to remove all of the staples under the linoleum in the kitchen in 1-1/2 hours. This was done in a 10 foot x 10 foot kitchen. The tool is durable as it never broke, and it's very easy to use. The husband was very happy using this tool so I recommend it.

So I have utilized 3 other tools to remove carpet staples from my stairs without completely damaging it. The video on the professional using it sold it to me but it wasn’t that easy. So I was able to remove the staples a hell of a lot easier compared to previous products, even when the top of the staple snapped, I was able to use another tool that I had to pull it out. It won’t get those dug in there with damaging the floor but overall satisfied.

What a wonderful tool. Very sturdy. Removed carpet staples with this. I recommend this tool.

I should wait to review, actually, but I'm so excited to have found a tool that can pull inch-long, narrow staples, sink into a 100 year old hardwood floor!!

If you are trying to remove carpet staples from hardwood, be aware that this tool’s tip is too thick to get under staples that are flattened into the wood. It will help to remove staples once pried up a bit out of the wood but even so it will snap the staple into two pieces and then you have to use sharp nosed pliers. For this function this tool was pretty useless for me. But for raised thick staples it is helpful.

I liked that these are small, easy to use, and get those pesky 1/4 inch staples out when other devices are more difficult to use. They are ergonomically good on the hands. Biggest drawback - the tips dull over time and after several hours of use they wear out. I am going to try and resharpen mine (got lots of staples on stairway carpeting) but have also bought more. I bought several different types of staple removers and these are the best although I don't like that they don't last for days of work.

This is the 4th or 5th staple puller/remover I bought and the only one that works. I have some 1/4" upholstery staples pinned at high pressure that I just can't get under. A screwdriver, hammer and pliers kind of worked, but it was slow. Regular staple pullers can't get under the staple and I took the tip off my bradawl trying to pry them up. This tool does the job, I can get the tip under, tap it with a hammer, pry it a little and then pry it the rest of the way. Even the rusty staples come up. It's still a horrible project replacing this fabric, but the tool makes it bearable.

This tool was a godsend when I was ripping up the old carpets on the stairs. There were SO MANY staples to pull out, I don’t know how anyone does it without this tool. It is literally a requirement if you’re pulling up old carpet, especially on stairs. The tool makes it almost enjoyable, because the staples just pop right out easy peasy.

Thought I’d see how well this little tool would work. I tell you for my main floor renovation this was a time saver! Helped get every staple out with ease. Only thing is sometimes you need to have a pair of pliers to grab the last little bit.
