Retro Boards Deck Skateboard

The 8yo boy loves it. I don't think it'll fit him for more than a couple of years, but it is a great size for a child learning. I had done a lot of research including asking the "skater" son of a friend and this is what he recommended - a plastic penny board - for my son. So many "child" skateboards are fake boards - designed to look good and thrill out of the package - but not roll well so that the kid can actually learn to skate. This one isn't that. Your child will be able to practice skating, stopping, turning. There is some flexing in the board, so it won't be rigid enough to do many tricks at the skatepark, but if you are using it around the neighborhood it's perfect.

This is exactly what my son wanted. Personally I don't get the whole mini-board trend (especially when half the time he rides a longboard), but he and his buddies have fun on these, and this worked out perfectly. He rides it to school, to the park, and it's small enough to fit in his smaller PE locker which is great.

I ordered this and love it I weigh 184lbs and am 6'1 and I can ride it fine. It bows when you stand on the center but if you remain on the trucks and ride it just as a cruiser you'll be fine as long as you aren't anywhere above me wit for
