If you're getting the case without the blade, you will have to file down the fat part of the blade on top for it to fit in the plastic casing for the top of the key. If you do it correctly, you will have a working keyfob again. **Q: why do you have to replace the key blade (cant you use the existing key blade)?** A: Yes, you can use your old key blade. I used a sharp xacto knife to scrape out the interior of the fixture until the key would slide into it and bottom out. A small amount of machine oil also helps. Once done, the remainder of the assembly fits well and functions as OEM.
