Halo Automotive HA-i1500S Power Inverter, 1500-watt

This thing is great. Mounted it to the floor under my passenger seat in the cherokee and I have a couple of power strips hooked to it to provide passengers and myself tons of outlets for charging things. I can also run a 1300W chainsaw for hours with the thing, a 1000W coffee pot, a 750W hedge trimmer, spot lights, angle grinders, drills, etc. Huge value from this unit, and so far it has survived in my less-than-ideal conditions. It's been frozen, submerged in nasty water, and worked hard in high temperatures and has refused to quit.Only con really is that it sucks a lot of power when idle. It'll kill my battery in about 4 days if I leave it on without running the jeep.

Received inverter on October of 2016. Hooked the inverter up to a deep cycle 12v battery in January of 2017 that was being charged by solar. The inverter was only used to power some led lights in a shed and to recharge cordless tool batteries. Not anywhere even close to the rated1500 watts. The inverter worked for about 3 months, used approximately 4 or 5 times.One day in April 2017 when I switched on the inverter it began to give the fault alarm and wouldn't work. I turned the inverter off and disconnected it. I thought the battery may be low but it was showing a strong 12.8 volts. I reconnected and turned the inverter back on. It began to spew smoke from the cooling fan area, shorted making an electrical pop, and hasn't worked since. It's completely dead.The worst part is that I contacted the manufacturer/retailer directly at Amazon's request and they have ignored me and refuse to answer any emails or offer a resolution. I'm trying to get some help from Amazon customer service.I can not recommend this inverter or the company that sells it.

I'm using this to power a 750-1500 watt space heater. It works fine on the low setting but if I put the space heater to high, the max capacity siren comes on and shuts down. I've tried 2 different space heaters with the same results :-(babyb it's cold outside)-:

Returned immediately. Seemed like the item was used. It states on the description it's 120 volts but it's actually 110 volts

I hooked this up to a Marine battery at my outdoor sales booth this weekend and it worked great! I sell lamps and needed a way to show how they worked without a nearby power supply. Worked perfectly as advertised. Great directions, great performance. Will buy again, and will recommend to anyone looking for a handy converter.

I got this to be able to use my electric pole saw other places than my house (the electric pole saws are much lighter). This inverter converted my truck into a mobile power source for very little money.
