Tuga Boys Flap Hats - UPF 50+ Sun Protection Sun Hats

I'm so happy I bought this hat. My 3 yr old son has about a 20 inch head, so it's just a touch too big but he'll just grow into it. He is very fair skinned, with white blonde hair. He has many hats but I like in particular about this hat is this: the back flap not only protects from the sun but it also keeps the pesky gnats and mosquitos off his neck! We was sporting a wide brim hat for awhile, which kept the sun off his ears, face, and neck, but it wasn't enough to keep the flies off (his neck, ears, and sides of his face). You'l notice in the picture there is a coil thingy around the hat-- that's one of those bug repellent bracelets. For some reason the flies swarm around his head so I threw one on-- it helped. The coil also helped keep the back flap from flapping up in a heavy breeze. GENIUS, if I do say so myself :D. Material is also very light and seems to be well made. Just came today in the mail so we'll see how it lasts. I love it!

My daughter got one of these a few years ago and it's still working well and looks great. Got one for my 8-year-old son this summer and within one use the stitching was fraying and coming apart. Plus, it was def on the small side, not covering all of his neck. Given price, I'm a bit annoyed at the poor quality.

My son has a large head so I ordered a large size. Fit perfectly!! In fact, it was a little large but I think that's because he's only 14 months. So I expected it to be a little bit. It blocked the sun incredibly well and he was out on the beach for hours without a burn on his neck or face! Great product!

I've bought these hats before and they lasted and lasted but I very quickly realised that for 90F weather the kid needs to be in/ near the sea or in a swimming pool or their head just sweats a bunch too much. I use other hats that breathe more for sports or just being out in the sun. Still for water and staying on an active kid's head as he jumps and swims (even underwater!)these are unbeatable AND with two years experiencing of using the hats I can say that they do offer excellent protection from the sun.

I got the medium for our 2 3/4 year old and it fits fine. It is great protection from the sun. He prefers his blue one! He does adjust the bill slightly backwards as he says he can't see if it is pulled too far forwards, but it still protects well. I would like to see plainer ones for older children as this is quite noticeable (not a bad thing, however, on the beach!).

Finally a hat the kids love to wear at the beach and in the pool! When they don’t want their ears covered they just tuck the fabric into the hat. Nice light fabric and vivid colors!

Best sun hat I've been able to find! I love it. My (almost) platinum haired, fair skinned boy loves it. He's been doing cannonball off the side of the pool for about half an hour and it hasn't flown off his head once. He's five with an average sized head and it fits just fine and I'm almost positive it will fit for the next few years. We have a long standing history with Basel cell skin cancer in our family so I take every precaution possible. I love the fact that the brim doesn't fall down not matter how wet it gets. I love the fact that it has towel material around the crown of the hat on the inside to keep sweat out of his eyes. It's really is a perfect hat. Doesn't look babyish at all.

This hat fit my 5 year old extremely well ordering a large. It stays on snugly even when swimming and playing. It has helped with reducing the frequency of sunblock applications needed and with a squirming 5 year old boy that is excellent!

Fantastic hat! Son absolutely loves it, wants to wear it all the time. Perfect to keep sun off his neck and ears. Lightweight to keep him cool and waterproof. Fits perfectly. Good brim to keep sun out of his eyes. Cute as well :)
