A prince and his bodyguard swoop up a 23yr old birthday girl at a night club and what comes next is one glorious night followed by what shouldn’t have been feelings. This book was really good the spice was on point as usual for this author and now I’m hooked on the series!

This short novella is intended to introduce the reader to the characters of the Thalanian Dynasty, a freebie so that readers are hooked enough to buy the full-length follow-up novel. (Full disclosure: It worked on me.) The events within are sexy and steamy, and I enjoyed Meg as a realistic character with life conflicts that are all too familiar in our current world.The male characters, on the other hand… I enjoyed them individually and together, and we’re shown enough of their relationship to make their interactions with Meg believable. However, a few missing details let me down. For example, Theo and Galen read as 100% American to me, and at no point is their perfect American English ever explained (as far as we can tell from Meg’s point of view, neither man even has an accent).So, be warned that this is a one-off with no real closure. However, it is perfectly enjoyable as a stand-alone.

I read this story via ku and am leaving my review voluntarily. It is a short read and a solid 3.5 stars.Triggers: it is a m/f/m and there is some physical contact between the m/m*spoilers*This is a new author for me. I found her on the list of authors attending Apollycon.The story is about Meg, a young woman struggling to survive in the city (no time for fun, working to pay bills and school) Her friend Cara convinces Meg to go out to celebrate her birthday.At the club, Meg catches the eye(s) of Theo and Galen. There is an intense attraction from the beginning.The three of them go back to the guys place. Things get very hot n heavy, but both men tell Meg it's one night only, and she's on board for that. Later, Theo indicates he'd maybe like more. Galen thinks it's not safe, Meg feels she doesn't have time.As Meg goes to sneak out of their place, she overhears the men talking and realizes Theo is a displaced prince and Galen is his bodyguard. Meg thinks Theo is not so honorable and not wanting to continue any further contact leaves.The guys pack up, but Theo finds Megs number that she left and he's determined to make contact at a later time.I'm looking forward to the next 2 books (I ordered the physical copies directly from the author) there are also a few other related books in the series.

Second or third time reading...addicted to the stories, characters and well, I needed a refresher after discovering this series continues on past to also include Theo's sister's tale of romance. One of the most well written and most stemmy books ever published! Amazing read!

Finally a book with:1. Plot - we know the end goal of the Novella, but there are so many little details included that prepare us for book 2. There are just enough details for us to decipher what the bigger picture could be but it’s not spelled out at the club or right away. It gives us (readers) time to explore our ideas and make guesses or inferences.2. Reasonably portrayed characters - their descriptions are thorough and enticing. I can picture Meg, Theo, and Galen so perfectly in each scene. Their attitudes are also well described and match the scenes. No over the top displays of emotions that don’t match the scene or prior descriptions. But we’re left wanting more. There’s obviously more to their stories…3. Near perfect grammar - grammar is the number 1 reason I hate KDP. You’d be surprised how many KDP book writers have HORRIBLE grammar or don’t even bother editing before publishing. That’s not the case with Katee. She clearly cares about her readers and the books to give us the best quality!4. An ending that makes you want more! Even the Forever Theirs sneak peek made me download book 2 ASAPThe only reason for a 4 star vs a 5 star is the writing style. Third person isn’t my preferred style and it caused some confusion when trying to figure out who was thinking or who the writing was referring to.

The bad: yes the writing Is a little disjointed at times and I had to go back and reread certain passages to see who was talking But once you understood the authors flow it was easy to catch on.The oh so very GOOD: Amazing Storyline teaser and character development in such a quick read. I'm invested in all of them now. Theo is charming and a typical Alpha MC but Galen is the my quiet deadly obsession. He's going to destroy my I know it. Meg is a wonderful FMC and so far exactly what they need while also having her own storyline.Someone complained about lacking trigger warnings but if The book title and description didn't give it away then you have not been reading enough of this genre and should walk away. this is a 🌶🌶🌶🌶 4 spice / 5 intrigue & story line / 💋💋💋💋💋 4 passionClutch your pearls readers

The events of the prequel take place in one night. It's really just enough to pique your interest but at the same time... I felt a bit of disconnect between the Meg in her own POV, and Meg as the guys see her. From the guys' POV, she's a hypersexy and confident woman, but from Meg's POV, she's a regular woman whose life is in shambles. I get one person may be different depending one's view of them, but this one was very different and the only thing between Meg in her POV and Meg in the men's POV is her clothes. It's just a big disconnect for me.RECOMMENDED IF YOU'RE JUST LOOKING FOR SOME STEAM, OR IF YOU WANT TO READ THE WHOLE SERIES.

Straight to the point smut. Loved that the boys were into consent, communication, and not cruel about anything. Feel good smut 😅

I enjoyed this story about Meg and her sexy one-night stands Galen & Theo. What girl wouldn't want two sexy guys wanting to devour her for one night?! Contains MM.

Als erstes Buch von Katee Roberts habe ich "Neon Gods" gelesen und fand es sehr interessant und aufregend.Danach fand ich dieses Buch billig, flach und unglaublich langweilig. Kein Vergleich.

It is a well written and fun story however, it is definitely not a book, just a teaser, few chapters intro to hook you on buying the next books that you need to pay for. From that perspective, the marketing is misleading, based on the fact that people will not complain as this part is for free. Hence 4 starts, not 5

This was a quick steamy read but there is an intense connection between all three, meg, then and Galen that you want to know more about them and see if they do get together or what happens. There is so much to know and so many unanswered questions that I definitely wanna read the next book. The spark between these three was just something else.💓
