Best Way Tools - Screw Holder

Very simple, but these turn a screwdriver into a screw-holding screwdriver. It's like having another hand.

I'm used to screw holding screw drivers having a contraption already on the shaft to hold the screw. You can place these on any screwdriver making it a screw holding driver...just wasn't impressed with it operation.

I haven't seen a less 'viable' solution to a problem for a while. The 'jaws' are not made of a stiff steel , but some soft plated metal (the ad says stainless steel, but it's so soft, it'd have to be a very cheap grade, and when did you ever see st/stl nickel plated?). Which, is really just as well, since you'll have to try & bend the end of the laws so they are the same length [ so they'll hold a screw 'straight', not tipped to one side (it's hard to start a screw, when it's tipped to the side) ]. The way they fit on a screwdriver (for me), is awkward at best.In all honesty, they will 'work' to some degree, and they're saving grace, is that they'll work for for straight "sloted' screws, Phillips, and other 'specialty' headed screws (which I've not seen screw holding tips for these). But, it may be just as easy to just use a bit of masking tape perpendicularly wrapped around the screwdriver's tip, while you hold the screw on the tip [ should be able to do several screws (if you do it right), before it needs renewed ].I suppose, if you're seriously short on funds, and can't really afford any thing better - you could give them a try. I myself, I would save up for something a bit better. So, - If you want to get rid of around $4, - just give it to someone, - you'll feel good about yourself, as at least that way you'll have done something nice for someone. . . . just saying

I know this product will work as advertised however, you must use your own screwdrivers. That in itself has certain advantages. You do not have to have different devices. These will work with straight, Philips, Robertson or star screws or any other screw head. The only disadvantage is that it is not spring-loaded, you must hold it tight on the driver.

,,,that you can attach to s screwdriver (flat or Philips) to grab a screw. Theywont replace a real Hollywood screwdriver for regular use but might do thejob for a difficult screw or two. Small, light, and cheap enough to carry in your tool bag forthat occasional use.

Worked well. Used it up on a 21 ft. ladder. Was able to place a screw in the holder and start it with one hand.

This was a very inexpensive product and you do get what you pay for. The metal "wings" that hold the screws are very thin material and do not grip the screwdriver shaft or screw very well. The concept is great and the design is very good. The materials are a real let-down. Too bad.

Just what I needed very hard to find at the hardware store. Glad I could get them here. No problems hold up well great for putting in screws in hard to reach places. I do maintenance at a motel so they get used.
