HEATHROW HEAVYWEIGHT - Boeing 747 by Chris French GAvA "Heathrow Heavyweight" depicts a British Airways Boeing 747-400 departing Heathrow during the Summer of 2003. The ‘Jumbo’ has been the mainstay of BA’s long-haul operation for many years with 50 of the type in its fleet – making BA the largest operator of the type in the world. However, half of these are due to be retired by 2020 as newer types start replacing them. In the centre of the painting, a building site shows work on the new Terminal 5 site has started. It will be another five years before the Terminal is opened by Queen Elizabeth II in March 2008. THIS IS THE 14" x 9.5" (356mm x 241mm) Size Image. Overall Size is 17" x 12.75" (432mm x 324mm) Larger sizes available, please email
