Great when it came out years ago, and even better now!
When my boys were born, this bear just came onto the market. I thought it was great then, and I still do! It's even gotten better. The new bear is very soft and the best part is they put a timer into the speaker system so the bear will automatically turn off after 40 minutes. This bear is better over the other ones I've seen because the speaker is INSIDE the bear, not on the outside. Why would someone put a hard piece of plastic on the outside of a bear for a baby?? The compartment for the speaker is enclosed within the bear and is accessible by Velcro on the back. Plus the bear now has Velcro attached to the back so you can attach the bear directly to the crib and it won't move around. I bought this one for my nephews new son. They told me the baby was fussy and they turned on the bear and it was like an automatic calming effect. The same happened with both of my boys 23 years ago. The sounds it makes really sound like what you hear in the womb when you go for ultrasound appts at the doctor. Trust me, you can't go wrong with this as a baby gift or for your own baby. I still have one of our original ones from my youngest son. Again, great product!

I ordered the mommy bear for my 6 month old son. I have a white noise machine for him to sleep at night and for naps, so I needed something that could travel with me to help him sleep on the go ... in the car and stroller. We both love the bear, he is very soft (not fury soft but like a cotton soft) hard to explain lol but feels very durable. I loved the fact that the sound machine is just one sound easy to turn on/up/off and the bear has Velcro holding the machine in its back so baby can't get at it. Also shuts off on its own after 45 minutes so it helps to save battery lifeI live in Canada and could not purchase it here. It didn't take long to receive it once ordered and arrived a day ahead of schedule 😊 Very happy with my purchase and delivery

Great, but...
This bear works great. As soon as baby hears the heartbeat, she relaxes. We put it right by her bassinet at night since she is so used to laying on someone (grandparents spoil!). I docked one star because the ONE thing that annoys us is the timer. As soon as that bear turns off in its own, it's a mad dash to get it back on before she wakes up. If you don't get to it in time, she wakes up and cries.

Baby and parents share peaceful slumber
Every newborn should experience the pleasure and comfort of this bear. I sent this as a baby gift to my nephew and wife for their first born. My nephew says they use it every night. Their newborn sleeps through the night except for feeding time of course. The baby slumbers peacefully to this bear and they are so pleased. The bear is easy to operate. They keep it running on automatic. A wonderful item that I will purchase again for the next new family member.

The physical bear is like most teddy bears
We've been using this for a few weeks, and it's hit and miss. It doesn't seem to make too much of a difference, but it does help when he's in that "almost asleep" phase.The physical bear is like most teddy bears. The fur doesn't flake off, and it is very easy to cuddle with (when the box isn't in it, of course).

I thought it vibrated like it had a heartbeat
I returned it. I didn't realize it was just a recording. I thought it vibrated like it had a heartbeat. Not their fault though. I was looking at another one that did vibrate before I bought this, so I got confused.

No longer works.
When my son who is now 6 had one of these it was amazing, it soother him to sleep and he loved it. So when my twins were born 2 months ago and were having trouble sleeping I remembered this womb bear. When I first received the item it work perfectly and they loved it. Unfortunately the life span of the bear was less than two months and even after replacing the battery the sound maker is no longer with us and I am outside my return date.

Where was this with baby #1.
My daughter was having trouble sleeping through the night in her crib(but not bassinet) and would wake up screaming. Grandma recommended getting a heartbeat bear but after reading reviews we decided to go with this one. Can you say AMAZING!? because we sure can. She loves the noise it makes and honestly it is even soothing to hear on monitor.
