Works well! Definitely takes some learning, but it does what it's designed to do. Nice and small and adds pretty much no weight at all to the camera. Easy to carry especially with the bag it came with. A tip that's pretty much always come up when doing transition timelapse would be to take 2 trips to your location. Day 1: Take your 1st pic before the transition from day to night or vice versa, then take pic after the transition. Use those exposure values to do the timelapse for day 2.

Did NOT trigger the shutter on Nikon D7000/No Tech Support
Read countless reviews for this product that were all very, very positive from multiple sources and was very excited to start using it for myself. I was able to program it just fine from my phone. However, after hours of tinkering I could not get it to trigger the shutter on my Nikon D7000 running the most current firmware (A:1.04 B: 1.05). Tried literally every setting I could think of on the camera but nothing triggered the shutter. Also tried everything listed on the Alpine Labs support site, still no success. Even worse, I have been waiting for a week to hear back from a tech support ticket. Their website says they will get back to you in 24-48 hours! That is just poor. I was hoping to work with their tech support to really try and troubleshoot this. Instead, I am returning the product. Nikon users beware.

Does exactly what it advertises, which is to perform time-lapse photography with a DSLR. I have a Nikon D3300, and it lacks a time-lapse feature, but this fixes that by plugging into the remote port of my camera, which allows it to trigger the shutter.

Great tool for time lapse.
I took this on an 8-day rafting trip down the Colorado River. I used it a night to get some great time lapse pictures of the beautiful Grand Canyon night sky. Very compact and very easy to use with my Nikon D7100.
