Everyone has desires - deep, deep desires for significance, approval, love, acceptance - many things. Most of us want to live a meaningful life, be loved and make a difference in this world. I am getting free from thought patterns and beliefs that have hindered me for years.Thank you Tony for sharing your insights and journey with us. The videos that we can go and watch that practically show us how the theory works out, are a fantastic bonus. It is so wonderful seeing people become free as they see their lives through the right belief systems, based on Biblical truth and the loving nature of our good Father God.I highly recommend this book to you. I dare you to read and apply it and stay stuck - it cannot happen!

This is one of the best books I have ever read about personal transformation, particularly in the context of a relationship with Jesus. Tony begins by challenging the idea that every decision is right or wrong, and instead introduces a paradigm focused around a God initiated process in which we have the opportunity to know Him better. Even as believers, we often pursue things, position, relationships, rule-following, etc. to fill the voids in our life or attempt to protect ourselves from pain. This leads to a misconception that God's way means a stoic existence being satisfied without getting what we yearn for. Ironically, we often talk about the God-shaped hole in our lives. Starting with the premise that His sheep know His voice, Tony describes the process for getting our needs and desires met in God, which has been God's desire and design all along. God has been setting me free from perfectionism for several years, and this book brought a whole new level of understanding legalism and what grace and God's sovereignty really look like. You will want to attend a workshop after reading this, and I HIGHLY recommend you do. You will not be disappointed.

Simply put, this book can change your life!As I read this book, coloring it yellow with my highlighter, I kept thinking: "That is so true, I never thought of it that way before." It felt as if Tony Stoltzfus was sitting right beside me explaining the transformation process. As I let the information sink in, took the time to do the exercises and watch the videos, the truth of the whole process clicked and I have begun to heal from pain that I didn't even realize was holding me back!Freedom is my word for the year, and if it is something you want for your life, you will want to read this book. To be truthful, sometimes it gets a little uncomfortable, but if our desire is to have a more intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the book WILL help you make that happen. Walking in the freedom of not only knowing I am loved by God + actually believing it = transformed life!

Awesome book. Read other work by Tony. This one is crisp and direct but very real and relational. Tony has a way of helping others to see their pain without them being condemned by it and letting others, particularly Jesus, heal it! Great work Tony. The Father said that if Jesus is lifted up He will draw all men to Him.

This is a book that delves deep into desires, emotions and beliefs. The premise for anyone who wants to benefit from this book is that he or she really wants to change through God. I personally felt healed and liberated from my hurtful experiences by this book.

Such a great book!! So many questions answered in one book!Chapter 2, 10 and 11 will totally change how you see Christ. As a result of the book I went to the Transforming the Heart conference so I could go deep into this content and have a real, heart changing experience. Can’t recommend this book highly enough!!

Very good and helpful book.

An excellent book to help me understand my desires and learn how to have them only met in a wonderful relationship with Jesus. Also helps you ask great questions to yourself and others to bring about inner healing.

This is an amazing and life-changing book! I normally devour books, but this one I had to slow down and re-read sections because it was blowing my mind! It was dislodging old thought patterns that kept me stuck in performance and making sure I made the "right" choices so God would be happy and replacing them with a deeper understanding of God's love and His process of change in my life. I have experienced such freedom and transformation reading this book that I have been giving copies to my friends and family and recommending it to anyone who will listen!

Definitely a wonderful read. Not for the faint hearted or those looking for a quick fix. This book needs to be digested slowly to get all the juices.
