Hampton Forge – Magnetic Knife Holder

It works as promised and hold the knives well. It was the exact size I needed. However, the instructions leave something to be desired. I figured it out fairly easily but a revamped instruction set would probably be best. Basically, you pull off the side black pieces and screw those into the wall and then snap the front onto the two black pieces. It takes a little measuring to figure out where they go but it was very easy to put up. As far as the product itself, it looks and works great. It has a powerful magnet and fits probably 8 large knives or so. I'd definitely buy it again and am considering more for my husband's garage (for tools) and for our smaller knives.

I gave it 3 stars because the magnet worked good. Anyway, I put the rack inside a cabinet door, for my knives, over my work surface and they were out of reach of the grandkids. Now the reason for the low rating. Every time the cabinet door was shut too quick-ly (not slammed) the magnetic rack would fall off the door and the knives went with it, so, I would have to put everything back up. After about the 5th time the rack fell one of the mounting brackets broke and I got some glue, tape and added a couple of more screws to put it back up....and it still fell off the door.

Installation could have been a little easier and directions left a lot to be desired, but the product itself is fantastic! Delivery was prompt and these work great! They hold super strong, hold 8 large knives on one and the other (I ordered 2) I have 12 smaller knives (steak and paring) and kitchen scissors. I now have so much more counter space and couldn't be happier!The price was great, too! I had seen these for 3x more at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Amazon is my "go-to" store for everything and they didn't disappoint with this. If you're considering purchasing this handy kitchen tool, do it! You won't be disappointed!!

I bought two of these and hung them vertically on the side of my cabinet, one above the other. The screws are a little long and stick through into the cabinet, but they hold the magnet well. My knives are hung vertically and the magnet is strong enough to hold them up without the handles sagging. I am so relieved to get my knife blocks off the countertop! This is a great price compared to other similar products.Update 4/13/2020We took these with us when we moved and installed them in the next house, this time on the wall. They are still going great 5 years after purchase. I will always have these in my house!

On closer re inspection of the product picture it lists the dimensions. I however went by the product description when I bought it. Product details clearly says 8 x 0.6 x 4 inches. This is far to long for the cabinet where i planned mounting it. The rack is still however very nice looking and has a strong hold on my knives. I'd give it a 5 because it does exactly what it is supposed to do, but the product details need to be fixed.

This holds my knives really well. I have tile all throughout my kitchen, so getting it on the wall was a challenge. I ended up using command strips, but the design of the knife rack is weird and there is no way to hide the strips when you put it on the wall...

Works great. Just what I wanted. I'm not too handy so getting it hung up with the screws was a challenge. I got really lazy and took the easy way out and just used 3M command strips to hang it up. Still works fine.

Very solid, modern, useful. The printed directions didn't work very well for me, but I saw a very short video on youtube that showed how easy it really is to install. A small serrated knife, three paring knives, a tomato knife, a medium-sized chef's knife, iron Japanese flower shears, and kitchen scissors are comfortably hanging on this holder without being particularly crowded. Good value product.
