Overall this is a very good laptop with some small but annoying issues. The performance of the laptop is very good but does suffer a bit from the slow spinning hard-drive. The laptop wakes up from sleep almost instantly. The touch response is accurate and reliable. The entire table feels like a quality product with thick solid hinges. It does a good job of quietly staying cool. It has a very good keyboard for a laptop; the back-lighting is particularly nice. The touch pad is a little annoying but it's workable with practice. The speakers are pretty decent and actually loud enough to hear even in a midsize room.Now as to the issues. The hard-drive is slow but that has't been a major issue for me so far. The battery life is average at best, 4 to 5 hours at best, but again that's not big problem for me because I am rarely dependent on the battery. Finally the biggest issue is the screen. It has a grainy quality that makes it look fuzzy. Also, the screen does have very faint lines that are most visible against light backgrounds. The quality of the screen is the biggest issue with the laptop.In short, the laptop is a good product with a crappy screen. It's not a great tablet but it does make very good use of Windows 8 touch features. If battery life is not an issue and you can live with a sub-par screen then this might be the laptop for you. The performance is very good; its a snappy computer and runs smooth as silk the vast majority of the time. Overall it has a nice mix of features for a decent price but really suffers from the crappy screen.

the first one came dented contacted seller seller promptly sent another one so that is always five stars! This has been working great for me. I even use it to render using 3ds max and it's worked like a charm. it's a device after all so just take care of it don't drop and handle roughly and expect to last. for the price you can't beat what it can do for you. thank you and have a blessed day!

I had the slate book and got so use to the android based system so coming back to windows takes getting use to. I'm typing this up on it now. They only thing I really don't like is the mouse pad is so sensitive zooming in and out with it is almost impossible due to the sensory on it. Still getting use to window 8.1 but ok.

This is exactly what I was looking for in a laptop. Just as powerful as a business desktop workstation, yet versatile enough to flip into tablet mode. Only one issue I have that it's a bit heavy for prolonged use while standing, but otherwise...it's awesome.

I had to send this back due to Wi-Fi component going out and wouldn't connect.
