The bins are over the 12" in length, that makes a difference when putting one of the bins in the end slot of the shelving unit.

First off, the packaging from AMAZON was just fine: the poor rating is due entirely to how the boxes were packaged from the manufacturer. Second, the undamaged boxes were of decent quality: they would otherwise rate a 4.The problem is, due to the way these boxes are handled leaves them overly susceptible to damage. Unlike normal boxes that are generally fine with being flat-packed and strapped for shipping (a bent or crushed corner doesn't much impact their function), these boxes are dependent on tabs to hold them together once folded. If those tabs get crushed or mangled, the box will no longer hold itself together. Flat packing doesn't cut it as there is nothing to protect the tabs.Unfortunately, that is exactly what was done. And, unsurprisingly, there was a lot of crushed tabs. Out of 50 boxes,11 were crushed to unusability, short of gluing or taping (not difficult, but NOT what I paid for). A failure rate of 22% is simply unacceptable, especially when I haven't even had a chance to use them yet.In addition, another 4 boxes were missing tabs entirely and 2 were too small to catch and hold. This brings the failure rate to a whopping 32%. That's just shy of 1/3. Whoever handles their quality control should be ashamed of themselves.I'm not going to tell anyone not to buy these. As I stated at the top, the undamaged boxes are pretty decent, and the damaged ones will still work if you want to take the time to tape and/or glue them together. Just saying -- CAVEAT EMPTOR.

This seller charges a re-stocking fee and will not pay for return shipping so basically you are stuck with the item since you would pay as much as the item in the end. This item is not as described, and definitely not like the picture. It was not cut in the correct shape to create a top bin box. I don't recommend this seller or this product.

I keep lots of things in my hall closet and use three sizes of these or organize it. Easy to assemble and came well packed. If I were doing this for a worksite office where lots of folks were accessing them, OR using them for heavy parts, I think I’d add reinforcing tape, but for my purposes it’s not needed.

As stated in my review for the 2 inch wide size of these boxes, these are great. I recommend pre-bending all of the fold lines before the final assembly. I -would- like to see the company update their photos to show the actual box and not a generic one. I recommend these for your organization needs.

High Quality, easy to put together and cheaper than anywhere locally. Used these in my shop for electrical parts. h

I run a stationary/gift store and these were the perfect thing to help keep my greeting cards, etc. organized. Most inexpensive product I could find on the web, they look nice, great value, and sturdy construction. Would definitely recommend/buy again.
