Same As Previous Reviewer -- 2 Years and Boom
I bought this hairdryer in late 2011, and have been very pleased with it -- it is powerful, has a range of controls, and does what it is supposed to do. When I got back after being away from the winter, however, and tried to use it, a loud crackling noise came from inside the machine, black bits started shooting out, and a strong smell of burning filled the bathroom. I didn't get any flames, but don't plan to try it again to see what happens. Pity, it's a terrific hairdryer.

Hazardous: Do not buy
I've had this dryer for about two years and it worked great. However, last week it started going off and on while I was using it. Then something inside of it exploded, sending large orange balls of flame in all directions. In 30 years of using blow dryers, I have never experienced anything like this. The company name says Wellong on the plug, but I've been unable to locate them in order to register a complaint. But I would warn anyone against purchasing this dryer. I've also used the Super Solano and would recommend that brand instead.
