I can't belive bow good it was i just wish they had a bigger size

A very decent quality 100% cotton watercolor paper for not a lot of $$. It's nice to practice on, or to seriously paint on without having to spend a fortune. I'm a longtime watercolor artist and paper is the most important supply for making successful watercolor art, so this would also be a good paper for beginners who aren't sure they're ready to invest a lot in supplies while they get the hang of the medium.Update: I was hoping to buy this again, but it's no longer available and can't find it anywhere. :(I have really grown to love this paper. It's perfect for watercolor pencils as well as traditional watercolor painting, and I get professional results with it. It can take a beating as well, erasing, scrubbing, lots of water, etc.,...Only thing I don't like about it is that it has a repetitive texture on one side, which I think is the side you are supposed to paint on, and it makes it look sort of cheap. I don't like that, so I flip it over to the other side and paint. The other side has a very subtle, random texture that I prefer. I have gotten really good and professional results painting on the back side. Sure hope they bring this paper back, I'm down to about 25 sheets of the 50 sheet pack.Update: It's back!!! It was out of stock for a long time during COVID, I just ordered more and received it. It's still the same great quality paper. Thank you for bringing it back!

Good paper. Good size.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well this paper holds up using watercolor. There is some slight buckling, but it flattens well after being placed under heavy books. Definitely a good product for the price.

This is good paper for anyone. Practically priced for the beginner and the perfect size to fold in half for greeting cards. Envelopes of this size are readily available. I'm an advanced beginner and couldn't be happier with this purchase. It holds a fair amount of water without buckling. Try it.

Quick word to beginners: Buy their 140 lb version, this isn't more affordable than their 140 lb. The rigidness and water handling capability is in no doubt, but I took off 2 stars to indicate that it has quite a different paint handling characteristic than heavier watercolor papers. It dries much faster and WILL leave an obvious edge/streak if your brushes are not loaded with water. With some staining paints (Pthalo blue, Pthalo green etc.), this edge is not easy to remove and will cause problems if you do not intend it. If you usually paint on dry and likes to push the paint around later with a clean brush, then this is definitely going to annoy you. Also what I notice is that the paper is coated with something that slows the drying process, which is good if you don't want anything to dry instantly, but it hinders the absorption of water into paper, which will leave a huge puddle of water if you loaded your brush a little too much. This causes a dilemma in conjunction with the aforementioned quick drying characteristic, in that you have to carefully control the wetness of your brush to reach the optimal painting stroke. It is more like a challenge to experienced artists than a forgiving practice medium for beginners. Thus, rather than using the cheapest available papers so that beginners don't waste money throwing out failed work, I seriously suggest using at least 140 lb paper to start. They are not that expensive and are much more forgiving to beginners. Beginners then can focus on the creative process itself and not worry about technical details.

These have been so great for good quality practice paper and perfect for cards I love making! I paint on the front and put my notes in the middle. It's been awesome. I love these! Really great quality paper too!I am a beginner, and The size and price really help me feel good about painting more without the worry that "I'm not good enough" to use more expensive paper. But this paper also really hoped my confidence as soon as I started using it! I saw an increase in my abilities immediately! It made me look better than I am!

I grabbed a couple sets of these as they have almost doubled in price since 2019. Well, the reason this one is cheaper is because it's 90lb not 140lb like these sets used to come in. Now I'm stuck with 100 sheets of 90lb paper that isn't suitable for much of anything. My fault for not reading it well enough, but these are still kind of useless for pieces so be warned!

This is the only paper i will paint on for "practice" as the quality is so high, its on par with brands like Langston etc. can't wait till it comes back into stock i need like another 200 sheets of this stuff. It also great value for money, 50 sheets is such a good deal for quality paper and i really hope it comes back into stock soon.(This was recommended to me by Emily Artful on youtube, highly recommend her channel if you like watercolor)

it folded a little at the corner during shipping but was easy to fix. I'm only a beginner for drawing but it's a good quality to me. it cannot take heavy wash but it's normal for 90lb paper. and for my drawing style it's ok. (I cut the paper to half) I was looking for a cheaper 100% cotton paper. this is perfect for me!
