Soft and gentle padding on the violin under my head. Love it!
I have been using it for many years, it keeps me from marks and scuffs on my neck. The strad pad improved my contact with the violin.

A must have for all violinists/violists!
My daughter has always suffered from neck pains after practicing long hours on the violin. The pad doesn’t get hot, and feels like a big pillow on her neck. It doesn’t even feel like you wear, it’s super comfortable. The setup was a bit challenging to find the right spot, but after that, it was heaven for her.

My Chin and neck are happy
I got this because I'm new at violin, but the hard plastic was bothering me. This simple little pad saved me from giving up.

Increased comfort for longer playing sessions.
I really like using this. I always felt like my chin rest was digging into my neck. The strad pad is soft and slightly cushioned. It sticks to the chin rest and covers most of the hardware on the bottom of the violin. The tan color is fine - I would use it for a performance. Yes, it is expensive, but I've learned over the years that trying to cut costs in this hobby costs more in the long run.

Not as expected, but comfortable!
It is VERY comfortable to use this. What I disliked is how you have to attach it to your chin rest. Although you can remove it, I see it as impossible to reattach it back. I wish that there was nothing else than a just plain rubber, but there's an annoying sticky inside.

Comfortable, soft, looking decent with violin too!
I've had irritation issues on my neck from the wood piece. Been using clothes / some gels, but this is working out great. It seems to hold better against the pressure from my neck as well (the L shape curve seems to be helping it to stay on its place). I used a black gel piece before which was glued on, but it came off after some use from the heat & pressure from playing.

Very comfy
This chin rest is nice and comfy against my son's chin. The material is like a rubbery coated sponge. It does add about an1/8 of an inch to the violin's original rest. The flat side lays loose and will flap out if you handle the violin upside down.
