The suction cups would work if the product was built to adhere to a standard tub wall. It is about 1/8 inch off on one side and nothing you do will make it stick, unless you can find suction cups with a longer stem that will fit the shelf. Not worth the hassle of sending back and for the time spent trying to find longer stem cups, it's not worth it.

These CORNER SHOWER BASKETS work great once they are installed correctly! The suction cups that come with them are SORRY AT BEST and will not hold the basket to the shower wall no matter what is done (thorough surface cleaning, water soluble glue, etcetera). I even tried not using them for 24 hours to let the suction cups cure and that didn't work either! So I tried Scotch Exterior Mounting Tape, 1-Inch by 60-Inch [http://smile.amazon.com/Scotch-Exterior-Mounting-1-Inch-60-Inch/dp/B00004Z4BV/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1437748792&sr=8-2&keywords=3M+Foam+Double+Sided++stick+tape], which works GREAT! Of course I had to remove the suction cups from the basket first and then apply the double-stick strips.

Would not stay up.

Searched a long time for something like this! I've installed it in my small half bath in the guest room to hold an extra roll of toilet paper. Those of you with half bathrooms know how important vertical space is. Good product-holds secure!
