Troy USA Sports 230lb Black Olympic Rubber Bumper Plate Weight Set Bar and Bumper Set with Spring Collars

I bought this set to have for the garage and use it daily. The plates are doing great, but the bar has started to rust on part of it after about a month of having it. This is most likely due to the moisture in my garage. The plates are very good quality compared to other plates in this price range and surpassed my expectations. For this price the bar quality is as expected.I also wiped down the plates and bar like other reviews suggested after receiving it due to the grease for transportation purposes. It was easier to clean off the plates compared to parts of the bar that had stickers that needed to be removed. The tube the bar came in and the boxes the plates came in were very damaged, but it did not seem like the plates or bar itself were affected by this. So far a very sturdy bar and set of plates.

If you are a beginning to intermediate weight lifter or athlete this is the perfect set for your home gym. Weights came on a wooden pallet that I now use for a plate stand. Product was rubbed down with packing grease for shipping purposes to prevent rusting. Excellent set that makes getting a real workout at home possible. I purchased a good set of collars and a pair of deadlift wedges as well, and those are all you need to get started.Total load with the bar is 275#, so additional weights are going to be required for any heavy lifting, but I don't think you can get a better deal than this set to start off with.

Just as good as any expensive set from Rogue. The bar could be better but for the price of the weights the bar was free in my opinion. The shipping carrier is slow though, be warned and they require a scheduled delivery. Kind of inconvenient but the package is 315 lbs total so it is what is.
